Sen. Raphael Warnock (D., Ga.) may have violated federal law by claiming a sketchy accounting loophole to take home a lucrative part-time pastor salary in 2022, a watchdog group charged in a complaint Tuesday.
The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) demanded the Senate Select Committee on Ethics immediately investigate whether Warnock lied on his 2022 financial disclosure in regard to his $155,000 salary for occasionally serving as a pastor at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. To work around the $30,000 outside income limitation for senators, Warnock claimed $125,000 of his pastor pay in 2022 was actually "deferred compensation" for work he did for the church before he assumed office on Jan. 20, 2021. However, the compensation arrangement appears entirely fabricated, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
The watchdog group noted that the Ethics in Government Act does not allow lawmakers to break the law without consequence. If Warnock fabricated his "deferred compensation" arrangement to rake in money past the legal limit from his church in 2022, he could be fined up to $50,000 or sent to prison for up to a year, the complaint states.

Warlock is a particularly oily character. He dumped a truck load of dirt on Walker in 2022. It’s hardly a surprise that he lies about where his money comes from as well. He’s grifter.
Wonder how much that the church board approved to pay him for a clergy housing allowance?

As soon as they purge the state Congressman for daring to question Willis and figure out a way to get rid of the Lt Governor for daring to support Pres Trump and claim that there was fraud in the Georgia election, all will be right with the world in the Peach State.
Georgians had a chance to rid themselves of Kemp and Raffensberger, they chose not to. And now they get to reap what they’ve sowed over the next 3.5 years, as they watch Kemp, Inc throw Georgia down the drain.
One can only hope that the movie industry is on its last breath and AI & CGI take over the industry, so all those liberals can leave Georgia and head back to where they came from. If so, I’m looking forward to seeing what becomes of that monstrosity off of 285 in Doraville. Hope it turns into a liberal cesspool that will soon be overridden with crime, violence and mayhem.

It is interesting. I checked Atlanta news sites such as the AJC and 11AliveAtlanta, but nothing is reported there regarding Warnock’s financial reporting irregularities. Strange.
The same church was evicting a homeless vet for owing $25.00 to a shelter it ran! Amazing,

This is about a scheme that allows Warnock to even be there in the first place.
This is about an apparatus set up by a corrupt state government and corrupt election process in the state that allows someone like Warnock to even be on the radar, let alone win.
You want to give Kemp and the rest a pass, that’s on you. Kemp and his crew are pure scum of the earth.

Given the average income in Georgia (about $65,000 in 2022), I have to wonder at a part-time pastor’s salary of $155,000. I suspect there is some type of money-laundering, bribery, graft or such going on.
