A monument outside of Phiily dedicated to a Ukrainian SS unit is stirring up trouble.
Kinda strange it being there
“Kinda strange it being there”
Probably forgot to ship it to Ukraine.
When I visited Germany, I was amazed at the lack of historical documentation ... you would never know there was a war there in most places. NAZI, Commie, etc ... it doesn't matter, we need to REMEMBER. Here in the USA, when the lefties are finished, there will not be one confederate civil war monument ... The only remaining monuments will depict only ONE SIDE of the Civil War... and it will be an historical LIE.
How about Lenin...two statues running around in the USA.
“supposedly we are supposed to LEARN from history.”
That is what the elites fear most—that we learn from history.
They want to repeat history—want to be the new Pharaohs with obedient slaves.
As I remember the Ukes thought of Germany as liberators after the Stalin starved them. Kinda like the Irish supporting the Krauts because they hated England.
The biggest mistake the Germans made was not taking advantage of that, and at least offering Ukraine some measure of autonomy, along the lines of what they did with Slovakia.
Too bad the bomb wasnt ready because we should have nuked Germany too.
“If you don’t learn from history, or are unwilling to do so, you are condemned to repeat it over and over until you do” Unfortunately most humans are slow learners.
Problem is nuking Germany will result in fallout impacting non-Germans.
That wasn’t an issue with bombing Japan, due to it being relatively isolated.
Until WW I, Galicia was part of Poland or Austria-Hungary and firmly within the Catholic part of Europe.
It was natural that Galicians would ally with Germany against Orthodox Russia.
Don't worry. Many innocent German civilians died in the fire bombing of Dresden. Perhaps staring at the photos will bring joy and meaning to your life.

Warsaw 1945. So I shed no tears for Dresden.
Galicia was also a hotbed of Ukranian nationalism, and in the forties the Ukranians there fought and killed Poles as well as Russians. They had been spared the horrors of the famine that might explain the behavior of other Ukranians, but that didn’t matter.
More crying wailing, gnashing of teeth, and of course a potload of money will make all those offended feel much better. It’s in a cemetery in a foreign language, who cares, other than the perpetually offended looking for more publicity and more importantly, another payday?
“It was natural that Galicians would ally with Germany against Orthodox Russia.”
No. Many members of the division were Orthodox. There was no “Orthodox Russia in 1943. There was only the Soviet Union. There were plenty of Russian Orthodox who opposed the Soviet Union too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Liberation_Army
