Vivek Ramaswamy, The ‘Funny’ Name Thing Isn’t Cute When You Do It
Yahoo!, HuffPost ^ | 8/31/23 | Ian Kumamoto

Posted on 08/31/2023 10:24:51 AM PDT by DallasBiff

Duringthefirst Republican presidential primary last week, Vivek Ramaswamy introduced himself by saying that he was a “skinny guy with a funny last name,” echoing a line from former President Barack Obama. Although he was referencing and, in some weird way, aligning himself with the former president, it just didn’t hit the same way it did when Obama said it for several reasons.

First off, boo, you do not reflect the values of other people of color in this campaign like Obama did. Not even South Asian Americans. So your little joke didn’t come across as playful — it came across as placating

So "people of color" are all have a certain set of values?

Seems to me any values worth having are agnostic as to one's color...but I guess Yahoo news thinks different.

Yes, it’s a common meme, here on Free Republic, that Vivek is somehow tied to or controlled by Soros.

Some Freepers keep saying that, and then other Freepers present evidence which debunks those ties to Soros.

So who knows which Freepers we are supposed to believe.

All people of color are of course united and have a monolithic slate of values.

FTA—— Throughout his campaign, Ramaswamy has repeatedly pointed out his ethnicity, and
emphasized his immigrant parents’ background, as a sort of shtick, to set him apart from the other Republican candidates, (which some feel is Vivek being crassly calculated).

Moreover, Vivek’s obsessively reminding Republicans about how “ethnic” he is, seems to be his manipulative way of playing with people’s fears of being perceived as “racists.”

After all, if they vote for him.....a decidedly brown person..... (but the “safe kind”), they could showcase their color-blindness......and couldn’t possibly be racist.

I don’t remember Obama saying that.

I heard “I’m skinny, can’t do anything right and I love dicks. can’t get enough of em. Look at my wife’s dick poking through his dress.”

Did I recall this wrong?

Why you distort Vivek’s past? Are you prejudiced against Americans of India ancestry?

Vivek received tuition scholarship from some Soros foundation.
If that translates in your mind as pro-Soros, I am afraid you have no clue about university education. During my 2nd semester at University of Iowa I was offered tuition scholarship based on my grades in first semester there. Did you think I was going to refuse much needed tuition help based on who was in control of the foundation?

Vivel’s parents were not rich. Vivek was enrolled in high tuition universities. He gladly accepted whatever was offered which did not require him to sign eternal subjugation to the foundation.

I think he’s also trying to follow the Kamala path to veep—with, apparently, Deep State/Kushner/Trump blessings.

Very worrisome to me that Trump is still apparently on the Deep State hiring plan.

Vivek received tuition scholarship from a Soros foundation........
but he could never have received it UNLESS he espoused the Soros idealogy A to Z.

In this case, he was paid to advance migrants getting graduate degrees.

That’s hardly conservative.......its a decidedly far left dogma.

Anyone who has to request WEF take his name off their website is by default pro-Soros.

And this guy was already an Ivy grad (and I believe working in finance) when he took upwards of $100K from the Soros family.

I believe he was a financier in training, but hadn’t yet formed his pharma fraud vehicle, when he accepted the Soros money.

Vivek is over the target. Get used to the attacks.

My axiom for voting: Choose the candidate that receives the most attacks from leftists.

The associated corollary: Ignore candidates left alone or receive praise from leftists.

The current and undisputed champion of receiving attacks is Donald J. Trump. In the a very distant 2nd place, Vivek Ramaswamy. I’m free to ignore all the other single digit midgets.
