China and the U.S. are collecting the same proportion of their populations’ DNA profiles — and the FBI wants to double its budget to get even more.
THE FBI HAS amassed 21.7 million DNA profiles — equivalent to about 7 percent of the U.S. population — according to Bureau data reviewed by The Intercept.
The FBI aims to nearly double its current $56.7 million budget for dealing with its DNA catalog with an additional $53.1 million, according to its budget request for fiscal year 2024. “The requested resources will allow the FBI to process the rapidly increasing number of DNA samples collected by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,” the appeal for an increase says.

Hoovering?
Mostly Republicans, I’m sure.
Anyone who got a swab up the nose held by someone employed by the public sector...
Doubtful...
“The rapid growth of the FBI’s sample load is in large part thanks to a Trump-era rule change that mandated the collection of DNA from migrants who were arrested or detained by immigration authorities”
building a dna profile for selective depopulation.

What do you think happens to your 23&Me or Ancestry.com DNA records?
You get a colorful report showing you are actually 6% Italian or 1% Sub-Saharan African, and you have half-sister living in Poughkeepsie
And all that info goes to the FBI/NSA/Fed.gov
Is every member of the military now DNA tested?
Not when I was in but that’s been a little more than a half century ago.
Hoovering. You know. Like Hunter and an 8-ball of cocaine.
Yes, J. Edgar Hoovering who used to be the most corrupt law enforcement official until Comey and Company dropped J. Edgar to about the 102nd most corrupt law enforcement official of all time.
The Republicans need to kill the new FBI headquarters building and keep the FBI in the J. Edgar Hoover building which the FBI has largely turned into a pig sty, but what should I expect from pigs like Comey and Wray and their cronies?
Yep - it became mandatory back in the 90s (i.e. Clinton years). It was sold under the premise of, "no more unknown soldiers," promising remains in any future conflict would be able to be identified.
21 million arrested migrants? That’s an interesting admission.
Yes, the military has taken DNA samples since the 1990s. These DNA packets are with the member’s service medical records. It was designed originally to cut down the number of unidentified bodies. But, it would not be surprising that the original use has been expanded. I’ve read that China and other countries are busy buying DNA databases from Ancestry and other genealogy sites.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Means absolutely nothing to these tyrants.
That’s one reason I will never do an “ancestry” test——I have no idea who’s “holding” that DNA info.
WTH?!
Neither would I Mike. Fortunately I was in the military long before this became mandatory for them. My wife one time suggested she would get me one of those testing kits. I said don’t waste your money...I know all of my great grand parents at least whom they were and where they lived. No one has an unknown throw off so I got no relatives unknown to me. (I would have no problem being admitted to the mafia!
And shared with Pfizer so they can make custom ‘vaccines’ that target whichever sector of the population the government (currently run by China) needs to be thinned out.
