The murder that occurred on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus Monday took place in a gun-free zone.
The buildings at UNC Chapel Hill are gun-free via school policy.
The policy says: “It is a felony, punishable by fine and/or imprisonment, to possess or carry, openly or concealed, any gun, rifle, pistol, or other firearm of any kind, or any dynamite cartridge, bomb, grenade, mine, or powerful explosive on any University campus, in any University-owned or operated facility, or at a curricular or extracurricular activity sponsored by the University. Such conduct also may constitute a violation of the Honor Code.”

That guy is in trouble now!
The idea of a gun free zone is ludicrous unicorn thinking. How is it we still have these?
Yes. No aspect of this case advances the gun confiscation agenda. Media Hogg won’t be commenting, how many more shootings must we endure?
I suspect the Chinese kid was failing which drove him over the edge. Asians take loss of face hard.

UNC cannot make possession a felony. That must be state law.
Well that certainly stopped him didn’t it. Good thing they had a policy in place

So, that $$$$ that DeSantis is giving them....will they buy bigger signs?
My bad...different shooting....

Its just one of countless other examples of ridiculous unicorn thinking in this country. Reality is a casualty of Leftism.
Larger font on the “GUN FREE ZONE!” signs might help.

Conservatives look for realistic and practical solutions.
Liberals look for quick and easy solutions.
Quick and easy solutions rarely work in the real world.
But they sure sound good at first. So liberals love them.
Truth in advertising needed. It was a “Shoot me please” zone.
I chose not to read more.
It’s been almost 24 hours since the incident, and I just now on FR find out there has been a murder in a gun free zone.
No mention of that in any news report I might have heard.
I put it this way: Letists are not protesting against politicians, laws, or ideology. They are protesting against reality.
Before we jump to conclusions...Maybe there weren't prominently posted signs indicating that it was a gun free zone.

Applying the “follow the unconstitutional federal taxing and vote-buying spending" rule for insight to gun free zones...
Was a threat of the loss of unconstitutional federal funding based on unconstitutional federal taxes possibly behind the university's misguided, politically correct gun free escapism policy?
I don't know the current status of the loss of unconstitutional federal government taxing and spending versus gun free universities, but here is proof that such laws have existed.
Gun-Free Schools Act of 1994 (non-FR; Clinton, Democratic-controlled Congress)
Democratic and Republican Trump-supporting patriots need to get ready ASAP to support Trump Campaign by primarying ALL their beloved but worthless lawmakers and executives in state and federal governments, except for MTG, Gaetz (and others?) in 2024.
After all, lawmakers and executives continue to show that they do not have the patriotism and leadership skills necessary to find legislative support for effective remedies for unconstitutional government policies.

In fact, consider that, since one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally given to the big, bad federal government to dictate peacetime domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service (most federal domestic policy actually based on stolen state powers imo), the worst problem that the country would otherwise be looking at with a new Congress of Trump-supporting freshman lawmakers is arguably a delay with mail delivery.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
Trump can endorse candidates from lists that patriots who respect the federal government's constitutionally limited powers provide for him, as long as candidates are not incumbents, candidates also promising to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments after they win office.
The definition of insanity is reelecting your beloved career state and federal lawmakers and executives over and over again, expecting those same politicians to find remedies for unconstitutional government policies every time.
Patriots, let's not allow ourselves to be fooled for third time in 2024 by the corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments.
Sentence him to 3 sessions with a social worker.
Still haven’t seen the name of the faculty member who was killed, just that he was a male. If it’s taking so long to contact the family, it could be an indication that he was from China like the shooter.
The victim was from China, too. These kinds of stories receive more attention when they fit a political narrative. I’m not sure this one does.
