Douglas Macgregor, a retired colonel of the United States Army and a political analyst, told Tucker Carlson in an interview on his program on the social media network X, formerly known as Twitter, that Ukraine has already lost 400,000 soldiers in its war with Russia. His revelation comes as the New York Times reported that Ukraine’s counteroffensive is struggling because some of Kiev’s best troops are “in the wrong places.”
“I think all of the lies that have been told for more than a year and a half about “the Ukrainians are winning”, “Ukrainian causes just”, “the Russians are evil”, “the Russians are incompetent” - all of that is collapsing. And it's collapsing because what’s happening on the battlefield is horrific,” Macgregor told Carlson.
In this sense, the former adviser to the Department of Defense during the Presidency of Donald Trump affirmed that Ukraine had lost 400,000 men during the conflict with Russia.
“Ukrainians now we think have lost 400,000 men killed in battle. We were talking about 300-350,000 a few months ago. Within the last month of this supposed counteroffensive which was to sweep the battlefield, they lost at least 40,000 killed,” he said.

“Going all in” when negotiating is actually a good thing.
If the negotiation ends up with Russia ending its invasion in Ukraine, giving up on all the territories it has right now illegally occupied, bringing all russian troops back to Moscow, and pays the war damages, then yes I’m for it.

How come CNN/NBC/CBS/ABC/FOX etc aren’t there? Why aren’t they running around with their plate carriers and blue helmets?
Because, while folks are dying and Ukraine is being destroyed, they have to keep the sheep thinking that Ukraine actually has a chance so they keep supporting the death, destructions and, most importantly, the corruption and money laundering.

At the time Russia first invaded Ukraine, in 2014, Ukraine had about 100,000 men in uniform. How did this puny military force scare Russia into thinking NATO was about to invade Russia?
Ukraine then built its military up to 300,000 at the time of Russia’s 2022 invasion. Even 300,000, how did that threaten Russia?
Looking back, Germany advised us against fast-tracking Ukraine for NATO membership. We didn’t want to “provoke” Russia. Leaving Ukraine barely capable of defending itself, Germany argued, would persuade Putin that Ukraine wasn’t a threat. No. It convinced Putin that Ukraine couldn’t count on the west, and could be quickly defeated.
Upon Russia’s invasion, what did Biden do? He offered to fly Zelensky out. Biden believed, as did Putin, that Russia would score a quick victory. But Zelensky and the Ukrainian people stood up against Russia, and pushed them back from Kyiv and pushed them back from Odessa.
Now the Ukrainians have an army of 800,000 with reserves of 1,000,000 more, and are killing Russians at a 5-to-1 ratio. For the past year, the war has been something of a war of attrition. How long this will continue is anybody’s guess. Russia figures to defeat Ukraine by demoralizing the west before its front lines in Ukraine collapse, and before Russia itself collapses.

Ukraine has banned journalists from frontline in interest of national security.
Information that might reach the Ukrainian public is tightly controlled.
There is no equivalent daily briefing by Kiev to the one presented by “Igor” of the Russian MoD. Which you can willfully dismiss. However there are unprecedented means of verifying BDA in this war given the proliferation of battlefield drones and other sources to verify losses of the combat effectiveness of entire units. Combined with open source reporting now of satellite imagery of new massive Ukrainian cemeteries.
If the Russians claim to have destroyed 1000 or more Uke troops per day, almost every day, with details about which sectors and battles incurred those losses, I tend to think they are using these sources and it is real-time BDA.
This is a daily average, btw, since the Uke offensives began in June. So do the math. Cut it in half if you want to arbitrarily.

Actually Ukraine didn’t do any 1,2 or 5 all-in attacks.
What they did was “scratch and feel” recognisance attempts in 5 places. Finding possible weak spots, for a LATER all-in attack. During those recognisances missions, they NEVER used their reserves. Proof that they didn’t do any all-in main attacks.
However it seems that they are now starting to find the weak points on the Russian defensive lines. Thus, reserves COULD be sent it soon.
