MacGregor is nearing Russian level of lying.
At the time Russia first invaded Ukraine, in 2014, Ukraine had about 100,000 men in uniform. How did this puny military force scare Russia into thinking NATO was about to invade Russia?
Ukraine then built its military up to 300,000 at the time of Russia’s 2022 invasion. Even 300,000, how did that threaten Russia?
Looking back, Germany advised us against fast-tracking Ukraine for NATO membership. We didn’t want to “provoke” Russia. Leaving Ukraine barely capable of defending itself, Germany argued, would persuade Putin that Ukraine wasn’t a threat. No. It convinced Putin that Ukraine couldn’t count on the west, and could be quickly defeated.
Upon Russia’s invasion, what did Biden do? He offered to fly Zelensky out. Biden believed, as did Putin, that Russia would score a quick victory. But Zelensky and the Ukrainian people stood up against Russia, and pushed them back from Kyiv and pushed them back from Odessa.
Now the Ukrainians have an army of 800,000 with reserves of 1,000,000 more, and are killing Russians at a 5-to-1 ratio. For the past year, the war has been something of a war of attrition. How long this will continue is anybody’s guess. Russia figures to defeat Ukraine by demoralizing the west before its front lines in Ukraine collapse, and before Russia itself collapses.
Macgregor is actually publishing for RT (Russia Today), thus in a country which we are in proxy-war with.
Doesn’t that alone make him a traitor according to our laws?
I have to check that out.
Exactly. The Russians believe their best friend is propaganda. When has Putin told the truth about anything? It appears that there are a fair number of people willing to buy the propaganda.
