resident Biden said Friday he plans to request additional funding from Congress for the development of a new COVID-19 vaccine, adding he may require everyone to take it whether they previously received a vaccine or not.
Biden, who is vacationing in the Lake Tahoe area, was asked by a reporter on Friday if he could say anything about the uptick of COVID cases and a new variant.
"Yes, I can," the president said. "I signed off this morning on a proposal we have to present to Congress a request for additional funding for a new vaccine that is necessary, that works."
He added, "Tentatively it is recommended that it will likely be recommended everybody get it no matter whether they’ve gotten it before or not."
A $40 million funding request to Congress from the White House on Aug. 11 did not mention coronavirus money, but included money for Ukraine, U.S. federal disaster funds, and funds to bolster the enforcement along the U.S.-Mexico border to slow the flow of fentanyl into the U.S.
In 2022, the Biden administration requested $9.25 billion to fight the virus, but congressional lawmakers refused the request.
The Associated Press said officials are expecting an updated COVID-19 vaccine containing one version of the omicron strain called XBB.1.5.
The new vaccine is a change from today’s combination shots, which mix the original coronavirus strain with last year’s most common omicron variants.
As coronavirus continues to mutate, there will always be a need to update vaccines.
Next month, people will begin to receive the annual fall COVID-19 shot, as Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax are working on doses of the XBB update.

One observes the media manipulation, in the title: "Biden plans to ask Congress for funding to develop new COVID vaccine, may require shot for all."
Plans -- future tense. "New vaccine" should require all the proper clinical trials before approval. "May require shot for all" is a non-starter, as no American politician has that kind of authority so to do. Moreover, "may" is a modal verb and also implies a "future" time.
How much of the media is busy with messages about tomorrow, next month, next year and next century. Forecasts, models, "perhaps" and "maybe" and "might?"
As with many poster’s comments I caught the word “require” which is complete bullshit. They cannot require any US citizen to get a shot of any sort.
But the establishment will likely try. I can see it now. If you do not have your shot you will not get medical care. Federal benefits such as social security, VA health care and whatever will be stopped.
Nor will Georgia, Alabama, SC, Utah.
Not happening. Period.
Their “fake pandemic” and killer vaccines are exposed.

For what it’s worth, if one is absolutely FORCED to get a vaccine in order to save his job, visit a sick relative, etc., I found this. 2 will be mRNA but one will not be.

When Biden says “required,” he might not have the ability to mandate it, but he can coerce the various establishments, VA, schools, employers, etc., to require it. I was coerced in such a manner but got the J&J shot which was, at least, a traditional vaccine.

“Recommend” was the world that was actually used. The report at Faux News translated that to “require” for the headline.

They told us that the vaccines will NOT prevent you from getting Covid...and also that the masks didn't work...isolation didn't work...you probably won't die, the vaccine causes cardiac problems and death...I got the J&J and one son got the J&J. My daughter, hubby, other son and girl friend all had the mrna...and they ALL got Covid.

Seems like there is always a plan to present new strains of the Covid virus & then creating new vaccines for it. I will continue to look at it this way....until someone develops a Covid shot that will virtually guarantee protection from it, I think I will pass on it. Seems to me to be an orchestrated windfall for pharmaceutical companies & little more...that is unless the shot kills you.
