Time to prepare with all the options/necessity/mandates/etc.
does take time. And hopefully the suppliers of needs can
obtain the need supplies in short order to provide for the needs.
Florida lives with hurricanes annually. As such, there is remarkably little complacency. Our lives depend upon paying attention during the silly season. It is the price we pay for living in paradise.
Also note the geography of the Florida peninsula. A large state, surrounded by water, we have limited routes of egress and for pre-positioning assets, including fuel. Add in the seasoned citizen population and there is sufficent rationale for declaring a state of emergency when a storm is certain to make landfall.
Biden and his henchmen are plotting to eliminate generators. It is beyond crazy.

What part of the state are you in?

Hurricane Michael was very nasty. Glad you are here.

It is always good to see your thread tracking the various storms. When I lived in Kansas City and then Phoenix, it was only my relatives that I worried about. But now I’m in the coastal Carolinas and sure want to keep informed.
No hype on your thread thank goodness.
Thanks for checking in, FRiend.
Upstate SC ping. Keeping an eye on this one.
I’m sorry to hear that…..
…guess I should never say never
Glad you checked in. You may well see some weather from the system later in the week.
