Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Thursday that she was glad the party’s top candidates grappled with each other over abortion during Wednesday’s first primary debate.
“I was very pleased to see them talk about abortion,” McDaniel told Fox News. “If our candidates aren’t able to fend a response and put out a response, we’re not going to win. They’re going to do it again in 2024. And I thought all of them did a really good job on that.”
McDaniel underscored that Democrats successfully weaponized the abortion issue during the 2022 midterm elections following the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe v. Wade.
The debate exposed fault lines among the candidates over the issue, particularly on the question of a nationwide abortion ban.

Abortion by federal candidates? What do they have to say that means anything? After three generations of having a medical procedure being within the scope of federal overseeing when it falls under state’s rights and they’re making a big deal out of it at a national debate is absolutely stupid. Abortion is no longer their business. That’s what the win was when it was taken away from them...completely.
Why isn’t she lauding a discussion on the economy, the pumping of trillions into the Ukraine, the sanctity of our southern border, the nationwide violence caused in many ways by the defunding of law enforcement, the drug problems, the energy fallacy, the supply line problems and many more problems that are a real problem right now. Abortion decision has been replaced to the states where it should be. And why not ideas on how the absolute failures of the liberal party that can be rapidly repaired? Do something productive, not rehash previously decided points they have nothing to do with. That’s not laudable.

He did not support her-he remained totally neutral when asked about it-I wish he had called her a dumbass RINO, but that would have been really rude...
Isn’t that strange? There is nothing on how many viewed the debate.
Trump should have found his candidate and campaigned for him.
Did the people who watched it have to sit in circles like the Biden rallies?
Ronna has done such a great job. We were able to hear from ALL of the major candidates last night. Yeah, I watched ALL the major candidates when Tucker dropped his interview on X. So did a good hundred million others. Ronna needs to take some time off, go on a diet and get major plastic surgery. Too bad there’s no such thing as a brain transplant. She can only fix two of the three; fat, ugly and stupid.
She should give herself a retroactive abortion.
Ay, por favor-suelta lo-the supreme court gave it to each state to decide-which is where it has always belonged. They undid Roe, and woke a lot of states up to the fact that the unborn are PEOPLE who have the right to life. If these my-way-for-all lovers keep yowling for the fed to get involved-again-they are likely to get a ruling that says all kids can be murdered after birth for any reason, by anybody. At least now, a woman who wants to kill her unborn child has to go to Cali or some other liberal state to do so...
The fact she was retained as head of the RNC says the GOP is not serious.
“Why did Trump support her?”
Maybe he lets these people go through just to let them show what disgusting idiotic leftists they truly are.
What difference does it make to his election
The entire congress is against him anyway with or without this inconsequential party host
There is no way he could have done that and appeared fair at all-which would have been a bad thing-I don’t like the stupid woman either, but rigging the game is what we always complain about...
Nobody cares what McDaniel thinks, she has led the RNC down to the ground.
And that is a good thing-let people see that it needs a total tear-down, take out the trash and completely re-design-lets break some eggs...
Yup, it’s necessary. The RNC needs a complete overhaul.
Trump-less Fox News Republican debate draws better-than-expected 13 million viewers. Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley during the Republican presidential primary debate hosted by Fox News, per the LA Times.
Note that Fox said they expected 50 million. Tucker’s interview of Trump had almost 200 million views on X(Twitter) plus the view on Rumble & other platforms.
This site has a paywall but google search on the title returns the first two sentences above.

Thanks, I bet it really hurt Fox to have to release these numbers.
Once Biden got in the WH everyone lowered the bar Trump is the only chance to retain liberty all the rest have their For Sale sign on.
This election is a IQ test to see who knows what’s going on and who is clueless.
81,000,000 votes my ass
I certainly hope so.
Sounds like maybe Ronna handed out “good participation” trophies to all after.
A traitor in the White House, politicians taking bribes from communist China and Russia and Ukraine and all she is talking about is abortion.
