Ahead of Wednesday’s first Republican primary debate of the year, Rep Matt Gaetz revealed that Trump surrogates would in fact be allowed to observe the debate and have access to the spin room.
Newsmax host Chris Salcedo said, "Now we’re learning Fox News, the never Trump network, won’t allow Trump surrogates to attend the debate and the spin room after the debate," adding that this was "completely unprecedented."
Gaetz clarified that "the RNC gave control over the spin room to Fox News, we were allowed to go and observe the debate but there was a little bit of confusion I can tell you now that’s all been sorted out."
"We are going to have the Trump team in full force at this debate, we are going to have access to the spin room, we’re going to be there to observe the debate and I can’t wait to be giving my hot takes on Newsmax afterward and share with you my perspective on how it went."
The first RNC debate of the election cycle will take place on Wednesday evening in Milwaukee but will be missing the consistently top-polling candidate Trump.
They've been horrible for years. The first time they screwed up and were never held accountable for it, was on election night 2000, when they called Florida for Gore before the polls in The Panhandle had closed. They've gone downhill even further since then. I stopped watching them after that, but went back on 9/11. Slacked off on my viewing in the years following, then stopped watching them altogether after Obama was elected in 2008.

The GOPe, RNC, FoxNews, and former hosts of these types of
debates, have no one to blame but themselves for Trump making
the choice not to show tomorrow night.
Not once did they treat him with the modest dignity that any
candidate on that stage deserved. They did their best to
humiliate him with gotcha questions, and when he wouldn’t
play along or called them on it, they tried to drive home
the point that he was the one causing problems.
Trump supporters didn’t tune in to watch real issues
spun at Trump’s expense, or ignored altogether in the
quest to damage him. Every time it failed, but why should
he come back for more?
I know what the man supports. Some candidates sure don’t,
urging his supporters not to be fans, and please get back
to principles, as if that was at all necessary.
What buffoons. Trump is exactly where he should be in the
polls, and sadly in some cases, so are the other candidates.
Fox hasn’t learn yet not to cater to Trump, it would seem 800 million dollars later they haven’t learned not to defend Trump and his lies about the election.
Yes, I cut the cord on my tv several years ago. Most folks watch everything on tv and I watch everything on my iPad like rsbn, Bannons WarRoom etc. But I don’t know how to find Tucker.

I saw one story about Tucker doing an interview with Trump. I have never seen confirmation that is even going to happen.

I’m still not going to watch it on Fox though. It’s unbearable to watch with all the Vivek Ramawampy propaganda. Luckily, Rumble is showing the entire debate.

That's all this is about. It's not about winning elections and furthering the cause. It's about face time and hot takes and money. And you Trump cultists fawn like idiots because you can watch Gaetz give his nonsense hot takes while you lick the Gucci loafers of the NYC billionaire. This is why I will never vote for Trump if he's the nominee. You people need to learn that worshiping a man is not the way to govern the greatest country the world has ever known.
