New York City Mayor Eric Adams stated that he does not believe that it is his place to interfere in matters of internal Israeli politics during his visit to the Jewish State this week.
"I think the people of Israel will determine their destiny," Adams said during a briefing to reporters this evening (Tuesday).
He explained that he met with anti-judicial reform protestors because he believes "it was important to hear from both sides," adding that he "did not give my opinion one way or another."
"I wouldn't want others to tell me how to run" New York City, he noted. "We should all watch history play out ... not to interfere, but to learn. I think the people of Israel should make the determination of how to move forward."
"Democracy is not easy. It is only by confronting our differences that we can emerge stronger," he said.

Well, I’m fairly certain he did make his thoughts known in
private circles. Still, his public comment was reasoned.
Someone really should help keep New York’s leadership from harming
the people of New York.
He was sure loud and proud about telling border states to take on more illegals.
Then this must mean he will not ask other governors and mayors to stop sending loads of illegals to his sanctuary city.
“Democracy is not easy. It is only by confronting our
differences that we can emerge stronger,” Adams said.

New Yorkers deserve what they were foolish enough to vote for!
I am glad to see that students who attended remedial classes have job choices when they grow up.
Well huzza for a brief moment of clarity!
Don't blink or you will miss it.
And why would anyone think that it was his place?
He’s an American politician, and a Democrat. It’s his privilege—nay! His duty!—to impose his worldview on everyone./sarc
Ha.
Sounds perfect for one as well as a refrigerator magnet motto.
Saw one today:
If you don’t have anything nice to say
there’s a good chance you’re thriving online.
The sane people have left New York. The crazy ones have a death wish.
Sure seems that way.
I have known people that can’t wait to go there.
Wow, not this guy.
LOL.....If you don’t have anything nice to say

It’s nice to have taxpayers fund a personal vacation to the Holy Land, particularly since it has absolutely nothing to do with NYC. I suppose Adams has things running so well that he can leave the city on vacation. I understand that there’s a Florida governor permanently on vacation from his job too.
I lived there from 1987 through 2004, and went to yeshiva there for a number of years before that. I’m afraid to fully discover what has happened to my beloved metropolis. The stories I hear are truly nightmarish. It’s not Rudy Giuliani’s New York.
Superficially, since I’ve never been there except a short
stopover at JFK (which probably isn’t even in the city,
but I could see it from a distance), what annoys me the
most about the city is the constant public claiming that
it is the best city in the world.
And the people generally doing it look like sub-par
idiots you could spot within ten seconds of meeting
them.
Guess my bias is showing. Oh well...
I’m sure the city has some endearing qualities, which most
cities do, but enough already.
(not directed at you)
Adams certainly does not need advice on how run NYC into the ground.
He’s doing almost as good a job as Wilhelm of Blasio.
A refrigerator magnet motto......hah......good one.
