Mark Meadows, who served as former President Trump’s White House chief of staff, is urging a judge to dismiss criminal charges brought against him last week alongside his former boss.
Meadows insisted he is immune from Fulton County (Ga.) District Attorney Fani Willis’s prosecution because the allegations are connected to his role as a federal official.
Meadows was indicted alongside Trump and 17 others last week in a sprawling racketeering indictment over alleged efforts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results. Meadows faces two charges.
After the indictment was filed, Meadows quickly began an attempt to move his case from state to federal court. Over the weekend, his attorneys went a step further and asked the judge weighing that attempted move to dismiss the charges against Meadows entirely.

Meadows filed a week ago for this case to be transferred to a Federal Court.
I’m not sure what good that would do. Just to stall, I suppose.
This thing will be tied up litigation wise for a long time before any thing is heard before a judge. There will be so many motions back-and-forth. This thing will get pushed for 12 to 24 months. The stupid lady in Georgia should not have filed so many charges, and cases against all parties. Frankly, that was a smart move because since it’s all one consolidated case, it will never go anywhere very fast.
It becomes pardonable.
Meadows is going to say whatever he needs to say to save his ass.
All of this stuff should have been handled after Jan 6th.
You are 100% correct. This indictment and the 3 others will never play out. Other events are coming.
We never hear anything about the moves Trump’s lawyers are making, but I hope they are as aggressive, if not moreso, as the lawyers for Meadows.

I’m only afraid Trump’s lawyers aren’t doing anything aggressive to get anything thrown out because Trump wants to take them to court thinking he’ll win and expose them for the rats they are. If this were to be the case its extremely risky given how corrupt the justice system is.
The good is a better jury pool, and if lucky a judge appointed by Trump.
MSM is reporting that Meadows testified to the Mar a Lago grand jury that Trump did not declassify the documents he took to FL. Pence saying the same thing.
The fix is in.
If (when?) this case falls apart, they’ll have to have some other DA somewhere ELSE file a bunch of charges.
Like what other events?
How do they now what he did?
Didn’t President Trump try to send classified documents (I forget where) and the dept refused to take them, forcing President Trump to take them instead of leaving them unsecured. ?
So why haven’t the other defendants, including Trump, joined in this motion to dismiss. It’s already overdue.
A dumb report.
When was MSM right about anything Trump?
