Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested Wednesday that Russia has been “acting in good faith” in various efforts to end the war in Ukraine and placed blame on the U.S. for the 16-monthlong conflict.
Kennedy said in an interview on SiriusXM’s “The Briefing with Steve Scully” that Russian President Vladimir Putin has “repeatedly said yes” to negotiations.
“In fact, he negotiated, two times he agreed to agreements,” Kennedy said. “He agreed to the Minsk Accord, and then he agreed in 2022 to an agreement that would’ve left Ukraine completely intact.”
The Minsk agreements were two separate international agreements in 2014 and 2015 that sought to end fighting in the Donbas region of Ukraine. Fighting never ended entirely, and Putin claimed that the agreements did “not exist” shortly before launching his full-scale invasion of Ukraine last February.
It’s not immediately clear what 2022 agreement Kennedy is referring to. However, the long-shot Democratic candidate accused the U.S. of tanking the negotiations in Wednesday’s interview.
“It was us who forced [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky to sabotage that agreement. It was already signed,” Kennedy claimed. “So, you know, the Russians were acting in good faith. … So, no, I think we’re the ones who have not been acting in good faith.”

I’m going to go occupy 20% of the Kennedy plantation in Hyannis. I’m sure Bobby will recognize my good faith.
Sounds like RFK Jr. has actually knows the HISTORY in Ukraine and his setting policy based upon THAT HISTORY (which is not in dispute, other than by some Ambulance Chasers). Whereas many here ALSO know that same history, but instead choose to PLAY DUMB and basically claim that Putin invaded Ukraine because he ‘got up on the wrong side of the bed on Feb 24, 2022’.
Stop marching NATO up to the borders of Russia and peace will break out.
The US State Department told the Chinese that we were admitting Ukraine into NATO. They new Xi would tell Putin and the Russians would go to war.
I agree
RFK Jr is nuts
Good Faith? No.
US to blame? Yes

Exactly, plus having US biolabs on their doorstep which the public didn’t know about added to Putin’s sleeplessness

Well, since you put “got up on the wrong side of the bed on Feb 24, 2022” in quotes, you must have a definitive source for that. Please post a link to that specific comment, so we can address it with the FReeper who made it.
“Stop marching NATO up to the borders of Russia and peace will break out.”
NATO has been on the border of Russia since NATO’s founding in 1949.
Nope not quotes, try again.

Link, please.
He likes giving orders, just play along. Lol
I recognize it as his own personal quote and strictly for emphasis.
“Nope not quotes, try again.”
Yup, you put the comment in quotes. So, you can either just admit that you made up the phrase (which is most likely), or you can cite your source. You see, single quotation marks are for direct quotes within a direct quote; or for something that was made up. I am asking you to clarify yourself, as your familiarity with grammar is suspect.
“Yup, you put the comment in quotes. So, you can either just admit that you made up the phrase”
What part of “Basically Saying” do you not understand, and no, it is not a quote to use only single marks, as in ‘this’? So please STOP STALKING ME.
Sorry Admins, but this guy has had this problem for months, he simply will not stop stalking me. Please have a talk with him...I’m sure he knows better.
“I recognize it as his own personal quote and strictly for emphasis.”
See my comment #16.
If those were his own words, and his own opinion, there would be no need for quotes at all, as they would be superfluous. In which case, the proper punctuation would be italics, or underlining.
“Sorry Admins, but this guy has had this problem for months, he simply will not stop stalking me.”
Don’t flatter yourself that I am stalking you. You made a comment on a thread I was reading and I responded.

Ok, thanks for implying that you’re simply HARASSING me. I still think the mods need to talk to you a bit.
