At the speeds they travel, a BB gun would do major damage..................

The Space Force workers in Colorado will have to ask the engineers in Huntsville, AL which buttons to push.

At orbital speeds sand is a deadly weapon.

The United States Space Force has activated its first and only unit dedicated to targeting other nations' satellites and the ground stations that support them.Is this article 30 years old?

But Soace Force workers will be well trained in diversity and inclusion.
To: Redcitizen
“Well-versed in diversity and inclusion”?
I’d say so, by this statement alone you could verify it:
“Master Sgt. Desiree Cabrera, 75th ISRS operations superintendent, said the new unit will revolutionize the targeting capabilities”
A master sgt. latina (tranny? who knows?) is supt of ISRS operations? That’s gotta be a new low.
OR MAYBE this write-up is just psywar.

Good luck with that, as they say in New York. The U.S. didn't have the cojones to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon until it was conveniently out of our airspace.

Given the directed energy weapon inferno that occurred in Maui, it could not come soon enough, though I hate to think of what the space wars will bring with armies of killer satellites doing battle. Where is all that satellite debris going to fall?
To: algore
Is the US Space Force even capable of reaching any portion of what we know as “outer space” by themselves? Or will they need to hitch a ride on a SpaceX vehicle? Who is going to enact these proposals they are writing up?

China has had such satellite killers for over a decade.

I remember back in the late Seventies fear and speculation about killer satellites were all over the news. The Air Force at the time knew killer satellites were real but all they were was a bomb that could be maneuvered close to our satellites and exploded. NBD

Agreed.
Maybe the new Space Force can study old 8mm grainy films of the Russian and Chinese research on disabling satellites and space vehicles.

They can’t blow up to many satellites. The debris fields would create a catastrophic chain of events. Other satellites get destroyed creating more debris... pretty soon they all get destroyed and never again can man put another satellite into orbit, at least until all the space junk burns up.
Saw this nugget in the article though... “electromagnetic warfare” maybe they can EMP them with a directed EMP.
