They could change the mascot to "Rocket. J. Squirrel" in order to celebrate a local indigenous creature. Then use the name as an entree into a history lesson about who Rocket J, is.
I’m glad our priorities are sound. A mascot. Glad the economy is superior. Glad our elections are sound. Glad our debt is paid in full. Glad every person has a great job with excellent benefits. Life is good.
No surprise. The school was built on Devil’s Mountain; Mt. Diablo, according to the article. The School Board originally probably had some respect and reverence for godly and patriotic principles. But eventually they passed on, and finally arrived at the day when that old fuddy-duddy stuff is passe’. Welcome to new normal, and wokeism.
I imagine their union thug “teachers” have never taught the students about Concord and Lexington and both the Concord and Lexington Minutemen scare the pee out of the young skulls full of mush because they both are portrayed carrying “assault weapons”. Learning about their gonads and poking cellphones are their most important objectives in schools these days. They learn about history from some retarded, idiot “influencer” covered with makeup and with a face that looks like a hardware store on Tik Toke.

It will fail. The problem the radicals have is there are institutions and people in America who still believe. Hillsdale College, Grove City College to name 2, that produce genuine scholars. Freedom is everywhere you look, and we have many proud veterans that won’t sit idly by when TSHTF.

For many years a statue of a rifle-toting soldier adorned the school's front lawn until it was removed at some point in the mid 90s, a victim of political correctness, and well before Columbine would become known for different men with rifles.
The high school is tossing the mascot named after the historic “Minutemen” who fought against the British.
So they intend to mount a statute of the king of England.
