More than half of Americans surveyed said they would not support former President Trump in the 2024 general election if he is the Republican nominee, according to a new poll.

The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll released Wednesday found that 53 percent of Americans said they would definitely not support Trump if he was the nominee. Another 11 percent saying that they would probably not support him.

----

Opposition to President Biden is not as strong as it is for Trump, with just 43 percent of Americans saying that would definitely not vote for him in 2024. Another 11 percent said they probably would not.

Thankfully, many of these leftists won’t vote. They aren’t even registered.

Nonetheless, their ballots will be harvested since every ballot must be counted.

Got it, you would rather vote for the Democrat, enough said.

I will vote for who wins the primary, often that has meant holding my nose. Still better than voting for a pedophile globalist with a desire to kill off or see most of humanity suffer.

“Trump is unelectable. The Democrats will push Biden aside and will install Newsom as the nominee” ... Sounds about right to me. How will they side-line unelectable Kamala?

That is quite a leap for you to make.

No, I won’t vote democrat. I just won’t vote for Trump.

Trump is not a republican. He is not conservative. He is a populist—And not a very good one at that.

I never dump on anyone for voting for Trump. I disagree, but I don’t make it sound like they are going to end the world by doing so.

This is a conservative forum. I just don’t see a high spending, old, egotist as someone that shares my values. I know for some they believe that if I don’t like Trump, I must love Biden. That is an immature and intellectually weak argument.

Do better.

“Trump can’t win in 2016” - All the professional pundits (left and right) and MSM.

But this time of course they can’t possibly be wrong which must mean all these indictments are totally justified, obviously the establishment is working from the purest of motives, nothing political at all, they have no worries that Trump might win.

The lack of a questioning attitude and reasonable doubt is astounding to me. How can so much faith be put in experts and their tools when we have so much overwhelming data that they have been utterly wrong over and over again.

And to repeat myself I am not even a Trump supporter in this context. I lean DeSantis if he can get his act together, maybe even the Rmsky guy if he gets traction.

Simple premise in this election: live the lie or challenge it. From an electoral viewpoint, probably our last opportunity. The evidence is ample what the opposition is doing to irretrievably alter the fundamentals of America as we knew it. Choose wisely.

And the keys to the electoral college, are found in the battleground states.

Some of the battleground states, are Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, just off the top of my head.

We know today which way most states will vote. California, Illinois, New York, all the New England states, Oregon, Washington, Maryland, DC, among others, will go for the Democrat ticket.

We know that Idaho, Montana, Utah, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, SC, probably NC, among others, will go for the Republican ticket, whether Trump is on that ticket or not.

Yo should rethink the “do better” and check yourself, not voting for Trump in the general is a de facto vote for Biden.

Do not get me wrong I support everyone’s right and choice to write in or vote third party. That being said it is naïve to think not voting for Trump is not helping Biden or another democrat win.

Votes in a two party system involve voting for a lesser of two evils, a mature person understands that. However if that lesser evil in some way violates your moral character then of course vote for neither, I have had to make that choice as well and support it.

What I have not seen is any such justification to not for for Trump morally, his actions overall have supported life and constitutional principles, not perfectly but enough as to not make him a non voting choice.

Mitt Romney had over 30.000 turnout at a rally in Ohio in October 2012.

He lost by 4 points....same as Trump

Conservatives don’t win elections because they get pinned down on issues that make voters uncomfortable.

The focus on abortion and the whole gay/trans crap. Sure, that fires up the base—but it’s not going to win any general election. DeStantis is faltering because MOST Americans don’t give a crap about Disney—in fact, they spend a ton of money on taking their kids to Disney.

Conservatives should focus on liberty, economic, and defense issues. Instead, they fall prey to being pushed around by their liberal opponents. You would think that over the past 30+ years since Reagan that someone would figure that out.

The economic issues this time around are enormous. The immigration issues are enormous—because of the economic issues that can easily be explained to younger voters. Specifically—how many low income housing units are being given to immigrants, when people who are struggling cannot afford their own homes or apartments? The start of the school year is coming—how much more is it going to cost to fund school for children who are showing up—unannounced and unfunded? That is going to hit your local tax bases.

Instead, we focus on the parts of this that make us sound like a bunch of 1950’s movie characters.

We have to get rid of the old folks running the GOP. We need new “consultants” They are killing us. We need to educate our voters on what is really important instead of focusing on issues that are settled (abortion), and turn the attention to how these larger issues impact our daily lives and pocket books. And paint a picture of a future that is better.

Our folks are not doing that.

Trump lost me at his “Desanctimonious” gibe. Has Desantis made an issue of Trump’s 3 marriages? What’s the justification for such pettiness? It’s foolish and petty imo.

I am in MA. A vote for Trump here is useless anyway. He isn’t going to miss it.

I said nothing about the “experts being right” in any context. However, Trump has done nothing but lose since 2016. He was a blank slate then. A lot has happened since he came down that golden escalator at Mar-A-Lago

If the general election was held today, Trump has a zero chance of beating Biden.

But Trump is likely going to win the primaries.

So we need to beat Trump in the primaries.

Then maybe we can win the general election, Biden is vulnerable despite that he will use dirty tricks to attempt to secure a second term.

On the bright side, mostly brown illegals fighting to get into the country certainly throw a wrench in the reparations racket.
