Speaking with CNBC in an interview set to air in full Monday evening on Last Call, DeSantis said that he and his allies have 'basically moved on' from the fight with Disney.
'They're suing the state of Florida. They're going to lose that lawsuit,' he added, claiming that if Iger called him today he would give him the advice to 'drop the lawsuit.
'All we want to do is treat everybody the same, and let's move forward,' DeSantis said, ready to bury the hatchet. 'I'm totally fine with that.
The lawsuit against DeSantis launched after he stripped the former Reedy Creek Improvement District, now known as the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, from the special privileges it had been awarded decades prior.

AND Ron is responsible for any harm those he shipped around the country cause to any Citizen, business or property. allowing them into his state to harm his people and also sending them along to harm others.

No, the article implies that DeSantis is retreating from his fight with Disney. He isn’t. He doesn’t have to retreat because he has likely won. He took on Disney on a number of fronts. One of those was ending a special privilege that they enjoyed that NO other company did.
So, Disney brings a lawsuit claiming persecution?!?! They are what, persecuted because they have the accepted political views and thus should enjoy privilege? Taxes are for the companies who don’t produce left/wing propaganda and toe the communist line? What is next, is some left wing prosecutor going to impanel a grand jury and go after DeSantis for breaking some imaginary law?
My point being that we used to celebrate DeSantis actions here on FR. But not now. Now we look for every opportunity to destroy them or criticize them because of conflation with opposition to his failing and ill advised campaign.
I will view articles like this with skepticism. He told Disney to drop their suit because they would lose. Oh noes!!! Clearly an indication that Disney has won!!

Which is exactly how I read the article. He isn’t saying he has moved in because he is quitting. He has moved in because what is left to do.

Disney is suing to re-establish a privileged tax status that no other company enjoyed. Clearly a victory lap there.
