So I’m going on vacation to Florida, I’ll let the misses drive, she has a heavy foot…. When she is pulled over, I tell the police officer that I’m illegal. Did I mention my VACATION!

Interesting use of words in headline, “certain type of passenger.”

This law is part of a broader plan by DeSantis to limit social services for those seeking permanent legal status.
This is why power is reserved to states. So we can experiment and find out what works......................

I think you should see a marriage counselor. Mr. FF and I have a hard time being apart for more than a day or two at a time. We are each other’s best friends and confidants. I realize we are especially blessed to still be in love all these years later.

Sounds like an excuse to make demanding the ID of everyone in the car part of a normal traffic stop. If a democrat did this we’d hate it.

Shouldn't that be:
If any driver is found KNOWINGLY transporting someone who is unlawfully in the sunshine state, they could face five years in jail and a $5,000 fine.
To: Lockbox
Ridiculous. These draconian penalties are a blight. Especially when doctors can mutilate and murder children with abandon.

In the suit, they brought up an example of a child, whose immigration relief is pending, being transported to a doctor’s appointment, or a Catholic deacon who helps drive people to immigration-related appointments.
Well, there is still public transportation...................
What are the Catholic deacons going to do now?

“It threatens Floridians with jail time for doing the most ordinary things, like visiting family, going to work, and driving kids to soccer games.”
The checklist just got bigger is all.
Everyone buckled up?
Anyone drunk or on drugs?
Any one not have their mask on?
Anyone vote for Trump?
Any one illegal immigrant?

If your wife and dog are locked up for 5 years, only one will be glad to see you when they get out.

Lockbox asks if it shouldn’t be “Knowingly”. The law should include the word “knowingly.” Absolutely right.
But then how will the state prove the driver “knowingly” drove someone?
Nice try, Florida, but this law goes too far. Stop taking fascism lessons from the democrats.

In Michigan, that could be the cop who’s in the state illegally.....A real conundrum there.

The writer also gives the impression that the law isn’t about illegals in America, but some sort of American that isn’t allowed in the state of Florida.
