Unfortunately, this kind of first world meddling is likely to end up with Uganda getting ‘very helpful’ offers from China.
Two years ago, Russia would already be over in Africa for this sort of reason. Russia is ‘busy’ right now.

My first thought was ... "Can I open an IT office in Uganda?". I've done that in years past with Argentina, and the experience, over many years, was quite positive.

Underrated group. Motown spinoff label with them ended up having #1 hits.
I saw them perform once as an opening act and was highly impressed by their professionalism and depth of musical talent. Seemed finely tuned and rehearsed unlike many of that era.
Why not? I’ve gotten the occasional IT recruiting inquiry from Uganda.
I think some time down the road Uganda might be a safer place for “my type” (aka conservative).
Foreign Aid hurts Africa more than it helps. Time for Africa to stand on their own two feet.
