Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Experts warn that extreme disasters such as this one are only becoming more common because climate change is fueling stronger storms, hotter temperatures, more widespread droughts. Earlier this week, President Biden incorrectly claimed he had already declared a climate emergency, which would give him additional powers to combat the climate crisis. Given what you’re seeing on the ground, do you want President Biden to actually declare a climate emergency?”

My guess is Hirono has never heard of the 2021 volcanoes that pumped approx 100 billion tons of vapor and ash into the atmosphere to an altitude of over 126,000 feet. It will take years to wash out of the atmosphere and is effecting our wx presently. 15 Jan. 2021 Tonga Volcano shook the entire World and is considered to have been the strongest eruption in 1200 years. It alone pumped approx 58 billion tons of vapor and ash into the atmosphere. Its eruption was so violent, Seismic recorders all shook around the Plant. Hirono should do her homework.
