Either way, systemic government negligence is a factor.

Wouldn’t surprise me if at least —some— arson did happen .....

Death toll from Hawaii fires hits 93 and is expected to grow,

\/

From local reports from the island,,,

.... it’s waaaaaay past that many.

There are STILL multiple fires on maui burning,,

But that’s not as sensational as the MSM lahinia reporting , so we probably won’t hear much about the others.

I thought it was illegal alien grass that was the root cause. Some variety that is alien to Hawaii, and is somehow drier than other, native, grass varieties.

Uh, climate change will probably top the list. But, I did read in some thread that there is an arson investigation underway or at least being considered. Maybe, maybe not. Prayers up for the folks on Maui.

my $$ is on arson/homeless campfire nonsense.
They will bury it if they see it’s a homeless person.

There sure seems to be a lot of indicators that this was arson and not natural. Like house is burning but the trees around them didn’t or that fire is in a perfect shape around an island, or the boats are on fire floating in the water. How Wicked if this is arson

Asides - the first time Is visited west Maui the hillsides above Lahaina were lush cane fields, which were purposely burned every year after being harvested. In the nineties all cane & most pineapple was exported to central America and the Philippines, leaving the fields dry tinderboxes.

If this was indeed an accident (and I do not think it was) one could say globalism and the cult of competitive advantage are at fault.

Only two of the remains have been identified. Unfortunately entire families have perished.

Overcrowding + extensive homeless cooking and flammable shacks + lack of ways to put-out fires (hydrants, reservoirs, etc.) + a naturally dry island = raging fires. No such problems in Oahu.

I was reading on another site: Instead of fire sirens, the local authorities sent out texts, roads were closed and a bottle neck ensued trapping people, there are over 1000 people still missing. Also how did all the boats anchored out in the harbor catch fire?

If they can figure out who in that homeless camp started a campfire, Hawaiians won’t wait for justice.

If you’re going to build a model 15 minute city, you have to clear out the old stuff first.

All emergency officers happened to be off island when the fire hit.

Coincidence?

This is just a bump in the road of many catastrophes in history. There have been worse in fires alone.

Some perspective here:

The interesting thing is what comes after the fire.

It was arson 100 percent..but notice the commie media doesn’t really talk about Hawaii so much anymore because it shows the Dems incompetence..the tsunami alert did NOT go out that could have saved so many times..the officials didnt set it off, well how come? there will be no investigation since Hawaii is a Dem state that is why Biden wont visit, he figures eh, whats the point, they will vote for him anyway
