Fox News has been called out for apparently threatening legal action against unaffiliated media outlets that reuse more than three minutes of excerpts from an upcoming GOP debate in the seven days following its broadcast.
In an advisory circulating on social media—which Newsweek has yet to independently verify—the network reportedly set out stringent redistribution policies and warned that failure to comply "will be regarded as a violation of our rights and may subject violators to liability under applicable laws."

Sorta flies in the face of "our democracy"™.
FU Fox. Thighs and lies.
Without the incumbent participating, the ‘debate’ is kind of useless anyway.
One might think that a primary debate would be considered a public event. But Fox seems to think it’s not public — it’s “our thing”.
Just like — They say “Our Democracy” but they mean Cosa Nostra.
Avoid Tucker firing Fox News
The debate will be live-streamed on Rumble video here

IMO lots of things are getting in the way of our democracy.
Gov’t gains control and we the people are left at their wishes.
I would think every candidate has a right to their own words unless they sign that right away to Fox.
CNN might host debates and impose the same conditions on Fox that Fox imposes on CNN.
Yeah, because they don’t want their preferred pantywaists to be mocked forever for their pantywaist answers. Fox wants to control that footage.
The Fox management has really become insidious and insufferable.
Bet there wouldn’t be any broadcast restrictions for this!
I have no means of accessing FOX via my TV.
Hopefully I can access their website to see web videos of the debates.
Why use Networks any idiot can stream the debate with a few iPhones ,LOL
This will go to Trump’s favor. Thanks FOX. Also, we’ll see fewer replays of Chrissy Crisco putting the hate on Trump.
Well,so much for the term “Public Debate” a’.?
Has been interesting over the years to watch the MSM embrace the very thing that killed them - Twitter. I can read anything of import any of their talent has to say on their Twitter feed and *never* turn on the channel(s) or suffer any of their commercials.
As for Twitter/X, all you really need to do is browse enough to find journalists you like and then find their substack or wherever they post their content. News direct to the consumer. Don’t need TV networks, radio, newspapers, cable television or streaming subscription.
If Trump ain’t there who is going to watch anyway?
“When the network hosted a GOP debate in August 2015 (wherein Trump famously sparred with Megyn Kelly), the network drew in 24 million views, the Post reported. When Trump pulled out of another Fox debate months later, the network logged about half as many views.”

“Several Fox News anchors are practically begging former President Donald Trump to attend their GOP presidential debate on August 23 in Milwaukee”
I don’t know the time.
This’ll test the “Fair Use” Doctrine to the max.
“Chrissy Crisco putting the hate on Trump”
Cristie needs to go the positive route and avoid the negativity that hurts Trump.
Cristie might be able to turn himself into a winner.
Republican voters need the ability to select a winner. Ramaswamy seems to be falling apart and DeSantis seems to be floundering.
