Having watched Big Labor buy the White House for Joe Biden in 2020, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has taken a page out of the same playbook. Last month, the governor, who reportedly has designs on the Oval Office himself one day, handed a taxpayer-funded sweetheart deal to one of his state’s largest public employee unions.
The state’s new collective bargaining agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council 31 gifts its 35,000 state employee members a nearly 20 percent pay raise over four years, including a 4 percent raise this year. That adds up to a 61 percent better deal than they got during their last round of negotiations.

They need to investigate to see if there is a quid pro quo. Pritzker need jail time like the rest of the Illinois governors.

As long as they get no federal bailout, bankruptcy might cause them to deal with reality.

America was a better place when it was illegal for GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES to join unions. Union workers really suck when it comes to following their employer’s instructions.
Illinois is and has been bankrupt for decades. If the US government does not keep funding them they will default immediately.
States can’t print money. Has any state gone bankrupt? It would be awesome.

First important leftist states like NY, CA and IL will start to go bankrupt (or insolvent) then Fed.gov will step using their ability to issue and monetize debt, to bail them out in the name of “stimulus” and such.
And that’s when the debt-spiral really accelerates.
