President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Aug. 11 that the heads of all regional military enlistment offices across Ukraine would be dismissed.
The decision comes after a nationwide inspection of Ukraine's recruitment offices revealed multiple violations, including corruption, power abuse, and fraud.
The fired enlistment chiefs will be replaced with officers who have had battlefield experience after they undergo an inspection by the Security Service.
Nothing to see here…
Two more weeks…
Corruption in Ukraine?
I read this as the managment of the press gangs known as the “military enlistment” are not finding enough cannon fodder. I suspect that the regional military enlistment offices are taking bribes from men trying to avoid the meat grinder.

I have been told by FReepers that all of the men want to fight to the death.
Are you saying that I have been lied to?…
They need more muscle for their press gangs.
Ding ding ding, we have a winner.
What? Fraud and Corruption in Ukraine?! Ya don’t say...
Corruption is fine as long as it’s the right people who are corrupt. /s
“This system should be run by people who know exactly what war is and why cynicism and bribery in wartime is treason,” Zelensky said in a video address.
Defense Department Inspector General Robert P. Storch testified that within the past year, the DOD Office of Inspector General completed five Ukraine-related oversight projects.
The OIG currently has some 20 ongoing and planned audits and evaluations that are focused on, among other things, ensuring that tax dollars are used properly, that there's appropriate accountability for weapons and other material, and that U.S. stocks are appropriately replenished so they're available should they be needed elsewhere, Storch said.
Additionally, the OIG's Defense Criminal Investigative Service is actively engaged in conducting fraud prevention and investigative activities that play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of U.S. assistance to Ukraine, he said.
The OIG currently has more than 90 professionals engaged in oversight of security assistance to Ukraine. In 2022, the office issued two management advisories that identified several areas of concern that could directly impact DOD's ability to transparently track and report the supplemental appropriations for Ukraine, he said.

Have been in contact with a person in Austria as well as we have a friend from Poland that lives near us. They both say..
1. The Ukrainians that have been taken to the front to fight are giving up to the Russians in large groups. How large? As many as 20 to 50 at a time.
2. Why are they giving up to the Russians? Because if they flee to any other country they believe that they will be sent back to Ukraine by that country.
3. Once they give up to the Russians, they indicate that they can never return to the Ukraine as they believe they will be executed.
The reason is that the commanders in field are not providing them with supplies-short on ammo, food, and no medical support and no medivacs to get wounded out of the area. What happens when one is killed is the Ukie commanders are stealing the death funds from the relatives who are supposed to receive them.
It is one big cluster.

There was no such shopping spree, and his limited wealth and real estate holdings are released by law every year.
“Zelenskyy, like other Ukrainian government officials, is required to disclose his income and financial assets annually. The Kyiv Post reports that in 2021, Zelenskyy declared $700,000 in income, as well as seven apartments that he owns with his wife.
Fact-checkers have debunked other claims about properties that Zelenskyy purportedly purchased amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine. None of those claims were found to be true.”
