President Joe Biden will ask for $25 billion in aid for Ukraine, according to multiple reports.

Multiple reports found Biden is expected to unveil a Ukraine aid package request north of $25 billion, which would include $13 billion in military assistance and $12 billion for disaster relief.

This aid request would set up a battle between many Republicans that are increasingly skeptical about providing aid and defense hawks who wish to continue funding Ukraine’s seemingly endless conflict with Russia.

I think it was in the movie “Empire of the Sun” where one of the characters said: “For people like us, wars are most dangerous at the beginning, and at the end. Everything else is a piece of cake.”

make that “expensive” too

Taxpayer money belongs to all of the leeches in DC. My favorite is when Gropey Joe talks about the government giving money to whatever his latest money-laundering scam happens to be.

Biden to Ask for Another $25 Billion in Ukraine Aid

There are about 170 million taxpayers in the US, out of a total population of around 332 million people. $25 billion dollars means an average of around $150 for each of the 170 million taxpayers. And this is just the latest installment in an ongoing series of giveaways to some nation most of us know nothing about and care nothing about.

They are not scumbags because they disagree with you. I personally think that our involvement in Ukraine has some major corruption issues that need to be addressed, and having been in the military during Vietnam, I have a general idea about how we have been manipulated by the Military Industrial
Complex. But I will not judge anyone on this forum for an honest disagreement. It is good to allow all to express their opinions without being attacked. That would be acting like the Democrats.

We are in the mired in metaphorical mud phase of this war with the failed Ukraine counteroffensive and before Congress considers approving any more aid, which I am against, they should require Biden to explain what efforts he has made to get Zelensky to the negotiation table along with his US benefactor to negotiate an end to this war with Russia and to put a stop to the bleeding of our Treasury. Nationalism, when vital national security interests are not involved such as this war, is about putting US interests ahead of those of Russia and Ukraine.

What percentage of this $25 billion will come back in the form of kickbacks? I’m sure it will not be high. Our politicians should not allow the American taxpayers to be pimped out so cheaply.

US Debt Clock suggests that each "taxpayer" is already on the hoot for about $253K and adding another "an average of around $150 for each" is fiscal insult added to fiscal injury.

The Democrats and RINOs simply don't care. They think voters are rubes. So far, this seems to be the case.

Congress should respond that before considering the merits of the request, Biden must submit an accurate accounting and detailed report on all the US aid to date: where it went institutionally; what it was spent on; how much was stolen by Ukrainians; how much by Americans/others; and, how much was kicked back to the Biden family and other Democrats. Once we see all that in black and white, we can talk (...about your resignation). It’s in your court, so get cracking.

The Republicans in the house better remember that 71% of rank and file voters oppose further aid.
