The polling from Emerson College surveyed likely 2024 GOP voters from Michigan and shows that a whopping 61% of them say they’ll be voting for Donald J. Trump in the state’s 2024 GOP Presidential Primary.
In the poll, which was conducted between August 1st and 2nd, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis rakes in the support of just 13% of respondents, with the rest of the field failing to even make it out of single-digit territory, as Trump’s numbers continue to drive a stake through the hearts of the competition.

And the GOP primary polling isn’t the only metric showing that Trump is the frontrunner for President in 2024.
When Emerson College surveyed likely 2024 Presidential Election voters, giving them the option of voting for either Joe Biden or Donald Trump, the two candidates were evenly split, with 44% of voters backing each one.
But when left-wing Green Party candidate Cornel West was added to the mix, Trump opened up a 2-point lead over Joe Biden.
Under the 3-way race metric, 43% of respondents say that they’ll support Donald Trump, while 41% back Joe Biden, and 4% back Cornel West.
Trump also boasts a lead over Joe Biden in general election polling.
The booming poll results for President Trump come as he faces a continued onslaught of lawfare from Joe Biden and his DOJ, who appear determined to disrupt his 2024 presidential campaign – and for obvious reasons, in light of the polling data.
Days ago, when Trump traveled to Washington, D.C. to be arraigned by Biden DOJ prosecutor Jack Smith, the 45th President called his persecution a “great honor”, and added that he was being arrested on behalf of the American People.
Rove is going to have to get out his chalkboard.
Honest question:
What happens “if”:
1 - a corrupt court convicts DJT on ANY of the felony charges he is currently (or might be) under indictment for PRIOR to November 5, 2024?
2 - Or if a conviction somehow were obtained before the Primary is officially determined?
I am more pessimistic about this coming election than any in my lifetime. After 2020 and the blatantly-broken and corrupt election - with Trump up (and by significant margins in most polls) - and the statistically-impossible midnight flips, widespread and documented ballot harvesting, and rule changes to further enable and protect the shenanigans... I have zero faith in the “system”. Add in the blatant agenda of setting Trump up for a conviction (even a relatively “minor” felony prevents you from being POTUS) - and no doubt their “ideal” timing would be a conviction between the primary and general election - closer to the general the better.
And out of transparency - I have never voted for Trump (been no need - he has handily won my state both times) - so I have been free to vote my conscience. BUT - the US will be FAR beyond any possible “point of return” if Biden is re-appointed by “those in real power”. There will be AT LEAST one SCOTUS appointment, and likely 2 in the next 4 years (and all on the more “Conservative” side).
What is the “back-up” if the Left gets their wishes?
Another real question: Will we even make it to November 5, 2023?
I’m not comfortable with these numbers. We know the media uses polls to push agendas. When was the last time a major poll showed a republican ahead leading up to the general. Few of us give any creedence to election cycle polls that show democrats up by double digits, but now all of a sudden Trump is leading the GOP field by 40-60 points and we all are giddy. I think we’re being played. The democrats want to run against Trump. Especially if they get a gag order to keep him from campaigning. If they can score a conviction on one of their many bogus indictments before the election all the better. I don’t doubt Trump is leading, but I thinks these numbers are being manufactured to clear the field. Why run against the presumptive winner, and anyone who shows being up 40+% is being touted as exactly that by the media,

In the Spring of 2022, Trump, Greazy Guiliani, the Pillow Guy and other assorted clowns hijacked the republican party and the State republican convention in Grand Rapids. Their nominees got slaughtered leading to Whitmer and the worst AG in the country getting re-elected. Whitmer could even become president if she decides to run. The Michigan republican party may take 10 years to recover. If you think this is a positive article, you might want to reassess. Those jokers blew up the State.

Looks like DeSantis never really had a chance this time but I still say it was a huge (YUGE) mistake for him to let Trump hammer him twice an hour on Fox for weeks with no response.
Is this still the big surge after DeSantis declaration?
I remember another guy that let his opposition pound him
without responding. It’s one reason why I opted for Trump.
