Looks like Oberlin has an endowment of $1,200,000,000.00 as of 2002.
$1.2 BILLION. BILLION!
Pay up.

“After a years long legal battle, Oberlin agreed to pay the massive sum” This is an odd sentence. Oberlin, like spoiled brats, was FORCED to pay up after delaying as long as possible.
On the bright side, there haven’t been any college administrators inciting mobs lately. The commie witch Raimondo clearly thought she could call out the Red Guard to Mau Mau the bakery into submission. Too bad she was personally responsible for damages.

The insurers were covering Oberlin college administration and staff for risks incurred while doing their job.
What part of Oberlin College vice president Meredith Raimondo's job involved her slandering a business owner, on the clock, using college resources, and directing students to join in?

I hope Trump trolls these creeps. Being psychopath bullies, I’m sure they ‘trigger’ easily.

Insurance companies are notoriously good at writing their policies in ways that make lawsuits against them difficult to win.
Good luck with that, Oberlin College. The only winners will be the lawyers.

They will lose their liability insurance. Win or lose (and most likely lose), no one will insure them now.
Can Oberlin legally stay in existence as an institution without liability insurance?

Oberlin College needs to explain the need for Oberlin College. It appears that they don’t really teach anything, but are there to provide liberal covers.

In general, if the insured proactively does something that causes the loss, then the insurance will not pay for it.

Glad to see a college get seriously financially hurt by their criminal and racist actions.
Now we just have abouy a 1,000 more colleges and universities to go.

After a years long legal battle, Oberlin agreed to pay the massive sum to the bakery in September 2022. Massive? I wish it had been a hundred million... or five hundred million.

Hope the insurance companies win their legal fees, and interest. Hope many insurers drop Oberlin at first chance and that their premiums skyrocket.
