So the judge is giving Trump basically one day to respond to an opponent’s motion? Statutes usually give an opponent around 15 days to respond to an opponent’s motion.
Most likely the judicial order is against the law about time to respond to an opponent’s motion.
Add that to the bucket list of illegalities concerning Smith’s bogus indictments.

Basically, the Trump defense is that Joe Biden and all the democrats and the media (same thing) can constantly, throughout the 24/7 news cycle, talk about Trump’s indictment, treat it as a foregone conclusion, and bring it up each and every time they want, but he can say nothing?
Just shut down his campaign?
Meanwhile, you KNOW the various “newspapers on record” and the “first” cable news network, will leak stories they attribute to various White House and DOJ “officials”, and others “familiar with the charges” that are unprovable, untried and in most cases bald-faced lies, whenever they want. Not a single one of these officials or sources will ever pay a price, even when such leaks are illegal, and in many cases will be totally made up by the so-called news media.
And just to put the cherry on the whole smelly dung cake, Trump cannot say anything back relating to these many, many stories we’ll all clutch our pearls over the next year and 3 months? He’s gagged from replying?

If the government whats to introduce a document, the public (and therefore the impartial jury) have a right to see as much as would justify (with other evidently relevant testimony) a conviction and the resulting sentence, IMO.
Trump is the number one opposition candidate in the entire country.
To place a gag order on him is unjustified in any case whatsoever.
Jack Smith can sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom (or a dog house) in the highly secure White House.
There are federal correctional facilities well matched to the secure housing needs of Jack Smith.
It is insane the judge called for this in a Saturday action, with Trump’s response due on the following Monday. Who does that if they are fair and impartial?
