A legally-armed woman in North Carolina acted in self-defense when she fatally shot a man during a road rage incident at a grocery store parking lot, according to the local district attorney.
"I think what's really important here for people to understand is that provision in our law is not an invitation to vigilante justice, but it does allow when someone has a responsible fear for imminent death or bodily injury that you're allowed to protect yourself," Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman told ABC 11.
Steven McLamb, 49, was fatally shot outside a Food Lion located at Raleigh's Greystone Village Shopping Center last Tuesday after 5 p.m. Authorities who reviewed footage of the scene say McLamb was the "aggressor" in the altercation, trying to pry open the woman's car doors before she fired at him.

Every person should train and educate themselves and their children on Federal and State Law on Self Defense, and Jury Awareness, whether they carry or not.
“Agree I would have shot him in a heartbeat. Crime is terrible in Atlanta. We go nowhere unarmed.”
This Georgia gal as well. There are a bunch of us in Georgia who carry without making it obvious or making a big deal out of it. The only way people would know was if the firearm was obviously needed.
Oh it would have to be a case where I was pinned in or without keys, etc. for sure.
Being old and having good insurance, also driving a Super Duty, means that only a very few scenarios would make me reach for my gun, after I couldn’t drive away or through them first I should have added, I know I’d be safer in my truck.
If it were an aggressive driver I was facing playing Bumper Cars wouldn’t bother me one bit if needed, hell if I was caught on camera I’d probably be sunk because I would have a grin on my face I think.
What’s that saying?
Never pick a fight with an old man,
if he’s too old to fight,
he’ll just kill you...
Get a dash cam...
SOME of us OLD WOMEN are also like that.
I, for one, would NEVER want to mess with you!
Traffic mayhem videos on YouTube are shorter so you waste less time.
Often they’re even funny.
Honk if you never seen muzzle flash from a moving car.
Yes the famous line
YOU FEEL LUCKY
I probably shouldn’t admit it but up here in Marietta, I’m still not armed on the streets.

That’s where George “Kingfish” Stevens and Sapphire were married!
Laz hit on my girlfriend...
That’s why we have the “DARWIN AWARDS”.
I have driven past the Marietta Diner a few hundred times but have never stopped in there.
Sounds like a plan to me.
Clarification: I have a DVD complete series of Amos ‘n Andy. In one, or maybe more than one of those great sitcoms the story line included a reference or reminiscence to their marriage, honeymoon, etc. In one Kingfish had for years been telling friends in Marietta how successful he was up in Brooklyn. Then one day one of his friends, a successful newspaper guy, called him. Kingfish thought he was down in Marietta but he was in New York and wanted Kingfish to attend a cocktail party he was hosting. Meanwhile he called an employment agency to hire a woman to serve as a hostess at this party and Sapphire was given that assignment. When Kingfish showed up and saw Sapphire dressed in a black and white servers dress he had to dodge her until he could plead not feeling well and hastily left. It was really quite funny.
And now that I recall there was at least one other show that centered around their going for their wedding anniversary to the same hotel they went to on their honeymoon in Niagara Falls.

Judging from other postings over the years mentioning Mr. Lazamataz, that doesn’t surprise me!
“ What a stupid reason to die.”

Yep, another suicide by road rage.
It didn’t surprise us either, we both would have been disappointed if he hadn’t.
