They always focus on the shootings. They are bad but shootings are just the tip of the iceberg. Rapes, robberies, muggings. Its not a “gun violence” or “shootings” issue. Its a lawlessness issue that results from Dem soft-on-crime policies.
School starts soon. Let the kids have their summer fun.
No, a grim reminder of what happens when you coddle criminals, reduce policing, bow to the woke mob, and believe social workers can replace police.
Besides, if only D.C. had more gun laws, things would be under control. That's the ticket!

It’s one way to relieve congestion in over-crowded schools.
In northern DC there is a police station in the heart of a high crime area.
If they keep their windows open at night they can hear gunshots all summer long.
The cops make sure to take their time before heading out of the station towards the gunshots. There is no way they are going to risk their lives for a mayoral administration that does not have their backs.
It is called “the Ferguson effect”—denied by every academic out there—”debunked” by every “fact checking” web site—and in operation every day in most major cities.
I thought their big BLACK LIVES MATTER painting on 16th Street would do the trick.
I’m sure they’ll spin it as the “blood in the streets” we were warned about, post-Heller.
And I thought the FBI rounded up all the insurrectionists in DC and threw them into to gulag.
Call the thugs “teenagers” as they do in Chicago — problem solved.

Lot’s of PDs do not provide enough training to their forces. Of course, when they try to improve training, you get the antifa reaction such as is happening in Atlanta.
I doubt the NG troops have anywhere near the training of local PDs in policing, crowd control, containing situations, dealing one-on-one with murderers, making collars, etc. Just look how the NG troops at Kent State got rattled and fired.
