Trump Faces 78 Charges, State and Federal — So Far
Breitbart ^ | 3 Aug 2023 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Former President Donald Trump’s arraignment on Thursday on four new federal charges brings the total number of charges he faces to 78 — 40 in the federal “documents” case; 4 in the federal “January 6” case; and 34 in the New York “Stormy Daniels” case.

First came the 34 state charges, as Breitbart News reported in April:

Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree Tuesday afternoon during his historic arraignment.

Trump was arrested around 1:35 p.m. and appeared before the judge, who charged him with 34 counts of falsifying business records, at 2:45 p.m.

Trump pleaded not guilty to indictment No. 71543-23.

Next came the first 37 federal counts from Special Counsel Jack Smith in the “documents” case in June:

Former President Donald Trump could be sentenced to 400 years in prison if he is convicted on all charges and the maximum sentences are imposed consecutively, though a likelier penalty would be for five to twenty years.

Trump was charged with 37 counts, and co-defendant Waltine Nauta was sentenced to six counts.

These were expanded to 40 counts against Trump in a superseding indictment in July.

Maybe yes, maybe no - but what does that do for us? Trump can't actually do the job of being President from behind bars.

He can pardon himself at 12:00:01 PM on January 20, 2025.

Oh, no. Don’t get me wrong...if I gave THAT impression, that was not what I meant at all. I absolutely do NOT think he should give up, I support his fighting this, speaking out, all of it.

The point is, the Left may succeed in this. Just because it is their goal and they may succeed doesn’t mean he (or us) should just roll over and accept it.

I was making the comparison to show that the people may change, but the tactics of the Left and the Deep state have been around since the 1930’s.

I hope I have clarified that.

“Trump can’t actually do the job of being President from behind bars.”

True, until he pardons himself 5 minutes later.

We are going to get nothing for us if they get away with this against Trump.

If they can F with an election like this, you know you are going to get a POS from each party.

The US is finished.

Are you sure? When did the Supreme Court (or any court) rule on self-pardons? Not clear that the President has that power. And even if somehow he does (not at all obvious), that power would only apply to federal charges. What happens if he's in a state jail or prison?

Prayers up for quick judgement by God to this Jack Smith dude.

If God thought we had been punished enough, he would have stepped in by now. Let that sink in.

To these jerks like Chris Christie, Mike Pence, or Mittens, would be in exactly the same position if they had won the presidency.

The democrats are evil and must be kicked out of every single political and bureaucratic office in the land.
