DeSantis campaigned in New Hampshire over the weekend, attending campaign events hosted by former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA).
“We’re going to have all of these Deep State people, you know. We are going to start slitting throats on day one,” DeSantis said during the barbecue event. DeSantis also promised that his administration will ensure the woke agenda “ends up in the dustbin of history.”
New Hampshire Public Radio quoted one New Hampshire Republican voter who was not thrilled by the governor’s choice of words.
“If I was in charge of his PR, I would have said, ‘Don’t use that terminology,’” he remarked. Others on social media expressed similar sentiments.
“He is so bad at this,” one user remarked.
“I guess he’s going for the Charles Manson fan base vote…..” another said.
“Great, another one that hires ‘the best’ people to advise him,” one observed, as others joked that there will not be a “day one” of his presidency anyway:

DeSantis used the same terminology during an interview with Real America’s Voice last month, explaining that he would like his defense secretary to be someone who is ready to “slit some throats.”
“I think the idea that you take a flag (officer) or general officer who recently retired and put them as the Secretary of Defense, I think it is a mistake,” DeSantis said during the interview.

DeSantis is crude in a way that Trump has never been.
So, better to ‘slit some throats’ or as Trump has done over and over again, endorse and hire them to then undermine his administration?

If that's always been his style fine, but if not, it's simply something the media will use to the Democrats advantage. Like they did Palin and her “targets”.

Drain the Swamp or Slit Throats. It’s all rhetoric. Trump didn’t (and won’t) drain any swamps. And RDS won’t slit any throats.

Also, the street terror and massive doxing and personal stalking of anyone going to work for Trump caused the candidates he wanted to dry up. There was a mass resignation from the non-partisan Business Advisory Council because all the CEOs sitting on it faced boycotts of their companies. They had family members lose non-related jobs, they were accosted for sitting down in a restaurant.
So he had no choice but to go with Generals for Sec Def, Chief of Staff, etc.
It is utterly shameful what was done to him. He was a good man that truly cared about this country. That enraged those who only want to plunder and control it.
When you are explaining and qualifying, you are losing.
This guy is just a terrible candidate.
You’re making fun of someone’s military service? Yep, quite obviously. Over what, your defense of someone who got several draft deferments? Yep, quite obviously again. I’m guessing you never served either. Draft deferment too?

Oh wait, DeSantis did so much in Florida. Yet, not one of you ever discusses the legislature or any other entity making things happen in that state. For all of you, DeSantis is Governor, Legislature, State Trooper, heavy equipment operator, plumber, ditch digger, county judge, police chief, fireman, etc etc etc. He does it all by himself. He has a magic wand and waves it. Things get done.

This is clearly what DeSantis was making reference to. It’s not really an obscure reference…but it doesn’t shock me that the average reporter has no clue what it is.
I’m a Trump supporter who has no problem with colorful terminology being used by politicians.
