For $1, New Hampshire voters were invited to drink beer with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday in Concord.
But barely more than two dozen people showed up at the New Hampshire Home Builders Association, which slashed the ticket price for the general public from $50 late in the week in order to build the crowd.
And there were signs that the campaign’s focus on retail politics — on showing that DeSantis can connect with people outside his bubble — eluded the candidate at times.
A 15-year-old at the Oskaloosa coffee shop asked about military service restrictions on people with mental health disorders.“I can’t legally vote,” the teen said, “but I struggle with major depressive disorder.”
DeSantis interrupted the teen with a rejoinder: “It’s never stopped the other party from not letting you vote.”
It wasn’t the only moment on the two-state trip in which the governor’s attempts to project intimacy by making small talk seemed to backfire.

I had high hopes for the man, but he’s really bad at campaigning.
Thats why i think weasel everytime I hear him or see how he interacts with people. Either he has a personality issue that he really can’t connect with others even when trying, or he’s just a real weasel. Either way somethings not right with him.
If he was smart, he’d go home and play governor. 2028 is being severely damaged

Aw jeez, this is just getting sad.
Maybe if he puts out big “FREE BEER” signs he can get a bit of a crowd going. Failing that, get some hot girls in bikinis Ron.
Still won’t help him win, but at least his crowds might be a bit less pathetic.

While I’ve seen reports, I have not read the indictment. I do, though, believe we need to enact reforms so that Americans have the right to remove cases from Washington, DC to their home districts.
Washington, DC is a “swamp” and it is unfair to have to stand trial before a jury that is reflective of the swamp mentality.
One of the reasons our country is in decline is the politicization of the rule of law. No more excuses—I will end the weaponization of the federal government.

well, him and Brandon could share the same supporters and perhaps at least fill a few bar stools. Then they could discuss the things they have in common.
One of the best Governors the state has ever had. It does however, take a special type of personality to compete effectively on a national scale. It appears he currently does not possess that quality.
Last November, the people of Florida should have realized they were actually voting for the Republican-led State Legislature, because they were the ones who passed the new laws and policies the State needed. DeSantis would have been nothing without them. I think they are now realizing that.
That was my first thought as well.
He'll slink back to Tallahassee and finish his lame-duck term, then after that it's K Street or a position in the RNC.
Maybe if you got some Bud Light.....
