Germany’s Federal Interior Ministry has confirmed that dozens of German volunteers are fighting in the war in Ukraine, “Welt am Sonntag” reported on Saturday. In reality, their number may be higher, but data in report only pertains to individuals linked to political extremism.
German security services have records of 61 people “with links to extremism or politically motivated crimes” departing from Germany, of which 39 people have left the country “with the intention of participating in hostilities.”
Of these, 27 are fighting on the side of Russia and 12 on Ukraine. It is not specified what is their political affiliation, although according to the report both extreme-right and extreme-left are represented.
...Participation in foreign combat operations is not criminalized, as long as it involves service in the regular army, Germany’s Interior Ministry explained. However, this does not protect individuals fighting in foreign armies from being investigated for possible war crimes, stressed the German newspaper’s portal, which asked the federal prosecutor’s office whether an investigation would be conducted into the volunteers. The prosecutor’s office declined to comment.
The situation is different in the case of “volunteer units” or “militias”. In this case, the combatants can be classified as mercenaries, said a Federal Ministry of Justice spokesman, however.
Roderich Kiesewetter, an MP for the center-right opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, criticized this attitude of law enforcement.
“Volunteers who voluntarily join the Russian armed forces or terrorist groups in order to take part in an attack on Ukraine should be brought to justice upon their return to Germany,” he said, pointing out that mere participation in the war on the side of the Russian Federation entails “systematic involvement in war crimes and human rights violations.”

I think what is more interesting is Ukraine war leaks lists NATO personnel present in Ukraine.
None from Germany. Only NATO countries represented are UK, USA, France, Latvia and a few from Holland.

Personally I don’t think Germans fighting on the side of Azov Nazis in the Ukrainian military is a good look.........
But the Russians fought and won against German Nazi’s in WWII so they probably haven’t forgotten how to do it.
I don’t care about Russia or Ukraine. They’re both corrupt nations that have made American politicians very wealthy over the years....not to mention the fact that we’ve been fighting proxy wars with Russia since the Korean War. I have found it rather funny though, that in WWII, Germany invaded Russia to get control of their oil fields, only to end up being reliant on Russian oil since that war ended.
The question is, who's organizing them? Are these just random men going over by themselves? Or is the Deep State recruiting, training, and organizing them? How many of them are Special Ops sent over as "volunteers"?
The Uk supposedly has over 500 SOF in Ukraine, the largest NATO contingent.
