Agreed, 100%. The Supreme Court did what conservatives have wanted for decades - overturned Roe vs. Wade and turned the issue back to the states to decide. Each state has its own abortion laws, as they should. The issue is settled - this is not an issue for the federal governemnt to meddle in. Conservatives should take their win - a huge win - and be happy in an amazing accomplishment.
Anyone disputing Vivek's statement needs to stop and think - a "federal abortion ban" can be overturned or repealed in a single executive or legislative act. Overturning the legislation of every state that has restricted or banned abortion would be far harder - most likely impossible.

It’s a State issue, period. Lot's of Democrats said the same thing about slavery.

It’s a State issue, period. Exactly. The Federal government has no say in the issue.
To: dfwgator
Exactly. Demanding a federal ban is as bad as the Feds demanding abortion rights

Exactly.
This post and article is tailor-made for all the folks here on FR who *ONLY* support Trump, and will actively attack and demean all others.
Willfully blind.
I am a big 10th Amendment person anyways. Like you wrote, it’s a State issue like SO MANY issues should be.

You and Vivek are both correct. I am pro life but recognize it is up to the individual states. Roe v Wade was a direct attack on the constitution by the former supreme court. The present court corrected this.
Abortion with very rare exceptions is a vile act. However, it is legal in some states and this constitutional.

Yeah, this is Trump’s position too, and if a person believes in the Constitution, the federal government has no say in either mandating states allow abortions or states can’t perform abortions.
That’s what SCOTUS correctly decided last year.
