Then you wonder who is supporting these young men financially.
How do they pay their bills?
Yes, if they still live in their parents house ,they may not be paying rent. But who pays for their food , clothes, cars , car insurance, video games, etc? Do they have parents who don’t insist that they go find a job even if it isn’t their ideal job?
I don’t know how common it is, but I see a lot of “Dear Abby” letters that involve a working-age man mooching off his girlfriend. It certainly seems more common among people my age (mid-30s) than among older generations.
No incentive to be “marriage-ready” because they get the milk for free now from a LOT of young women who still consider looks, etc. more important than security like jobs and stuff.
So....the males ‘exist’ for the now and the future is something they don’t think about as long as that side of the female spectrum is available.
I think the option of easily getting money that’s supposed to be used for college, etc. (student loans) is always a fall back for them, too.
