I don’t know how common it is, but I see a lot of “Dear Abby” letters that involve a working-age man mooching off his girlfriend. It certainly seems more common among people my age (mid-30s) than among older generations.

It certainly seems more common among people my age (mid-30s) than among older generations.Basing your perception of reality on "Dear Abby" letters is tantamount to watching "home security system" commercials on t.v., and concluding that most home intruders must be White men.
