Former President Donald Trump has pulled ahead of President Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup, the latest Messenger/Harris poll found.
The survey, conducted by HarrisX, showed Trump leading Biden by four points — 46 percent to the 80 year old’s 42 percent support. Another 12 percent remain undecided.
Trump has slightly more support among his base than Biden, as 88 percent of Republicans support Trump, compared to 84 percent of Democrats who support Biden.
The Republican frontrunner also holds an 8-point edge among independents– 42 percent to Biden’s 34 percent. However, nearly a quarter, 24 percent, said they do not know which candidate they would vote for.

The survey was taken July 21-24, 2023, among 922 registered voters and has a +/- 3.2 percent margin of error.

A July survey from Harvard/Harris also found most registered voters, as well as one quarter of Democrats, expressing doubts about Biden’s mental fitness.

In 2020, Biden beat Trump 306-232. Should it be the same matchup in 2024, I don’t see Trump overcoming this deficit.
No chance the Dems let Biden run. He barely won last time thanks to fraud in 5 cities. For the past two years everything is going bad, everything, and along with that comes loss in support.

A good 1/5 of likely trump voters did not go to vote because they were pissed off about the federal reaction to COVID and that Trump did not clean house at the FBI, DOJ and CDC.
With actual joe biden report card, who is going to support him, if he debates or not. 33% of voters that are tied to some government program.
Biden - 33%
3rd party (JFK Jr, Libertarian) - 20%
Trump - 47%
Take out Trump
DEM Harris or Newsome- 40%
3rd Party - 15%
GOP Vivek Ramaswamy - 45%
Really if any 3rd party candite pulls 10% of liberals, and 20% of independants, it is over for the DEM party from Federal to state races except for some exclusively Blue bubbles.
Right now it seems to me that Joe Biden might be the only Dem that would certainly lose to Trump. Expect the Hunter Biden scandal to pick up that is the one thing that could cause Dems to dump Biden. Not the scandal but him losing to Trump they will get rid of him if he does not bow out gracefully.
