White House Blames ‘Stressful Environment’ for First Dog’s Bite Spree
New York Post ^ | July 25, 2023 | Steven Nelson

That’s the Biden administration’s explanation for why the president’s German shepherd Commander bit at least seven Secret Service members in recent months — sending one protection officer to the hospital.

“The White House complex is a unique and often stressful environment for family pets, and the First Family is working through ways to make this situation better for everyone,” said Elizabeth Alexander, communications director for first lady Jill Biden, in a statement Tuesday.

Commander, approximately 23 months old, replaced former first dog Major — another German shepherd who also bit many Secret Service members. Commander’s bites, first reported by The Post Tuesday morning, were concealed from the public despite attacks on a variety of presidential security personnel, both on the White House grounds and also at the 80-year-old Biden’s home in Wilmington, Del., where the family often spends weekends.

I usually disagree with them, but they may be on to something here. If I lived with Biden, I might want to bite people too.

When I saw “environment” in the title I was sure the WH clowns were going to blame “climate change”.

Dogs tend to reflect the nature of the humans who are closest to them. Biden is a uniquely amoral sociopath. Secret Service should refuse to be in area where dog is free ranging. The very least Biden should do is securely muzzle the beast. But then Biden couldn’t care less about the Secret Service much less any other human being.

2 1/2 years into his presidency and his dog is still biting people? I would think the WH could get some top notch trainer to deal with this by now.

For every kilogram of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, dogs become more vicious.

He had another dog called Major at the beginning of his presidency. Major bit too many people, so they replaced him with this dog.

They tried muzzles, but Jill kept borrowing them to match her kinky fishnets.

Given I doubt Joe or Jill are taking care of the dogs (current & previous), what is the truth? Do they see security help Joe in ways that are confusing to the dog? Is Joe mistreating the dog? Biden Admin up there with the Wilson Admin in terms of lack of transparency.

That may be the wrong breed of dog for the White House pet.
A Labrador may be more easy going.
Some breeds are more territorial and less tolerant of strangers constantly coming and going than other breeds.
Perhaps if they started with a younger dog, who had older, calmer dogs as behavior models, it might work.

Some dogs will always require to be leashed up or fenced in on such a huge, spread out property. They won’t ever feel the full ownership of a certain space. Joe is not going to listen to any such suggestions or advice. He’ll keep thinking about some German Shepherd he used to own 60 years ago.

The Dog is already ruined. Probably only one solution to that.
