July heat waves would have been ‘virtually impossible’ without climate change: research

Without climate change, the heat waves impacting the U.S.-Mexico region and Southern Europe this month would have been “virtually” impossible, according to new research.

The research, from the World Weather Attribution initiative, also found that heat impacting China would have been “about a 1 in 250 year event.”

At the start of July, heat waves hit the Southwestern U.S., as well as Mexico, Southern Europe and China. In California’s Death Valley, temperatures reached more than 125 degrees Fahrenheit, while Phoenix has seen 25 days straight with temperatures of at least 110 degrees.

As all this occurred, the World Weather Attribution initiative also found that in all of the regions it studied, a heat wave of the same likelihood would have been “significantly cooler” without climate change.

mile high glaciers covering the east coast, melting completely and creating our great lakes, “would have been virtually impossible” without climate change

Yes yes I remember many Julys of shoveling snow and slipping on sheets of ice, which of course, is the norm for July in VA.

26 June 1990, I was stationed at D-M (Tucson AZ). 116 degrees over at the base by 4 PM. Was probably near 104 degrees at 7 AM when I arrived at the gym, and jogged 6 laps. Around lunch, it was near 112, and I worked out at the gym, then ran 3 laps. Drank combo of Gatorade/ice-tea for the afternoon.

You get used to temperature and other than hot asphalt (you don’t want to stand long on it)....it’s just a dry heat.

I don’t understand all this hype.

How much do they pay her? I’m guessing ‘way too much’...

My fear is idiots like John Kerry and his merry band of ‘more money than brains’ white liberal ‘elites’ will seed the atmosphere to ‘reflect the sun’ without realizing that could have unintended consequences.

The propaganda is intense.

Those of us old enough remember being in school during the 60's and 70's - told that the ice age would destroy us all.

Then it switched to global warming...

Then it switched to the ice age again...

Then it switched to global warming again...

Then they started using the phrase "climate change" as a catch-all to make their propaganda campaign "consistent".

All of this is about debt-based economies - which can ONLY survive by forcing generational industrial changes to the extent that vast amounts of new debt get created. Without debt creation of that size, the global economy would fall into a monetary deflation that would take it down.

The evils of debt-based money - and those who derive their power from keeping it going, by creating propaganda that drives their continued lust for control of other peoples labors.
