“Suppose we got it all wrong and the real crazies are the TV people in nice suits and $300 haircuts?”
That’s an observation by Richard Fernandez on Twitter, and he has a good point.
There’s a lot of craziness in the air these days.
But for the most part it seems to be flowing from the top down, not bubbling up from the bottom.
It wasn’t farmers and factory workers who came up with the idiotic COVID responses — nor was it they who originated the more or less criminal idea of conducting “gain of function” research on making dangerous viruses more dangerous.
It wasn’t shopkeepers and bus drivers who thought the way to deal with burgeoning urban crime was to get rid of police and release criminals without bail.
It hasn’t been landscapers and auto mechanics championing the notion that a child in the single-digit age range can make a lifetime choice about his or her genitalia or maintaining that even criticizing that idea is itself a species of “violence.”
Ordinary Americans haven’t been claiming the way to promote free speech is to censor people or the way to end racism is to classify everyone by race and consequently treat them differently.
It’s not the working class that wants to “save the planet” by blocking traffic, starting forest fires or banning pickup trucks or gas stoves (though private jets remain surprisingly free from criticism).

Not just TV people, but entertainment people, political people, journalism people, Hollywood people, college and university people, 3 branches of government people, Big Pharma people, junk science people, liberal people, and etc.
Did I miss anybody?
Liberal scum really are the root of all evil now.
“Society’s top brains”? Not seeing it.
Complicit.

This just proves the truth of the Russian proverb: a fish begins to rot at the head.
RE: the TV people in nice suits and $300 haircuts
Gavin Newsom: Hold it. Where do they get the cheap haircuts? Mine are $500 before the tip.

Sorry. this is just the libertarian cope to avoid acknowledging that we have evil rulers.
This isn’t stupidity. This is all a power grab. Everything destructive they did and do increases their power.
No matter how destructive it is, they control the institutions, and every failure, decadence and destruction allows them to increase their power over us.
When you control the institutions, failure give you more power, not less.
For example, the electricity grid, run it into the ground and then preside over the rationing.
There is no political power in cheap, reliable electricity. There is overwhelming power if you have the discretion to exempt from brownouts / blackouts.
America is going to be more Hispanic. 25% of births are now by Hispanics. Whites are too woke so they’re not reproducing. It may be for the better. Spanish Machismo is more resistant to the woke ideology that is prevailing across America right now.
That is a fascinating observation. But Spanish is originally the language of Spain, and the Spanish-speaking here in the states are only now being termed non-white by the Democrats. Perhaps we shouldn't accept their constantly changing definitions, race being one of them.
When I was a kid, the whole notion of race was caught up in notions of five groupings, none of them "Spanish" or Hispanic. These were 1) Caucasoid, 2) Negroid, 3) Mongoloid, 4) Capoid and 5 ) Australoid. The terms became individually less used, as for example Negroid became Congoid, and that is also no longer used or approved. So how many races are there? Even the question starts a tussle between opinions. Race, as a distinction, seems to have gotten its intellectual boots on in Germany and the notion, and all its sub-variants, then became "study." Centuries later, we're still in the throes of trying to classify.
The government currently "counts" 1) White, 2) Black or African American, 3) American Indian and Alaska Native, 4) Asian, 5) Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander and 6) "Two or more races" as boxes on the US Census are ticked.
OMB requires five minimum categories (White, Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, and Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander) for race. OMB permits the Census Bureau to also use a sixth category - Some Other Race. Respondents may report more than one race.I include this because it seems the body politic still can't figure out what "race" actually means. Skin color? Origin? Language grouping? The concept of race is separate from the concept of Hispanic origin.

What seems sure is that identity politics -- essentially the follow on to the Marxist notion of class -- is the game of using characteristics of an individual to classify them, and it seems stuck on skin color.
The poster child for this politically was Obama, born of a "white" mother and "black" father. Asserting him officially black hearkens back to "mulatto" which is not used officially these days. So how does the US Census deal with this? "Some Other Race." As time goes by, the whole notion requires being propped up, for one specific reason. To validate identity politics. Or as Biden said, if "you" don't vote for him (a white man) "you ain't black." About as openly an appeal to race and therefore racism and identity politics as there is.
America becoming more Hispanic? For me, a different sort of European origin individual, but one of the give European language groups which spread across North, Central and South America. If those "Hispanics" act as conservatives, there seems good to come from this change. Certainly "ol' black Barry" and "ol' white Joe" have been detrimental to this nation is so many ways. It's probably their shared "race." The new classification should be "Democrat." And the new measure by which to clearly classify them? Identity politics, especially that racial politics which declared Clinton the "first black" president and so easily says Clarence Thomas acts "white." Ergo, the words themselves are dying. Not fast enough to my taste. Best wishes.
Many of the educated really aren’t that intelligent.
To walk away from God is to walk away from sanity.
What race is Obama?_
Thank you for the question. Having considered the history and complexities of "race" taxonomy, I will herein testify based on clear, demonstrable data that Obama's race is "Corrupt Democrat" with "origin: and "characteristics" quite the same as Biden, who currently "leads" the entire "systemic racism" complex. In order to prop it up.
