Trump’s enemies pursue more and more indictments — to ensure his 2024 nomination
New York Post ^ | July 23, 2023 | Rich Lowry

There’s being fortunate in your enemies, and then there’s having enemies who are helping you take the first step in your political comeback.

Donald Trump and his adversaries want profoundly different things in the long run — Trump wants to be back in the White House; Democrats want him in an orange jumpsuit.

Yet in the shorter term, they both are seeking the same thing — Trump as the Republican nominee, either so he can sweep to victory (Trump’s view) or be beaten again and pay the price for his crimes (the Democrats’ view).

The serial indictments of Trump, even if it’s not their primary purpose, advance this mutual interest.

With every indictment, Trump dominates media attention and rallies Republicans to his side based on charges of selective prosecution.

The routine is so predictable, it’s become boring.

Sorry but no. I’m not buying the claim that Democrats are playing 3D underwater chess.

They just can’t help themselves. We’ve seen it for years and years.

Wow! Why is Trump running again if he thinks election cannot be won due to Democrats stealing votes? Does he think that was just a 2020 thing and they’re no longer interested in keeping him out of the WH?

Did the Democrats steal the election from Trump, yes or no?

So, still you presume to read my mind instead of telling me where my prediction has flaws (which I'd like to find) or what you think should be done about it when Trump is left off the ballot in key states. That would be constructive. No offense, but you're completely useless.

And I can this in smaller words...

I don't even know what half of the gibberish you type means anyway.

"I don't even know what half of the gibberish you type means anyway."

That much is obvious.

If you think the phrase I highlighted expresses a coherent thought, you might be the problem.

Pro tip! Your modal verb needs a corresponding action verb to express a comprehensible concept, if you had one.

Have a good day!

Maybe? Probably? The margin of fraud has always been a factor and is usually built into any successful GOP candidate’s electoral requirement of decisive victory.

What I know for an absolute fact is that Trump and Fauci’s COVID response served as a pretext for Democrats going state to state and turning many of their election integrity laws into banana republic shams. Many of these laws are still on the books, begging the question of why Trump’s even running again.

The invented 130,000 votes in Wisconsin. What is to stop them from inventing as many as they need?

Well the republic is dead then. Time for state by state secession.

It backfired, all it did was create Trump 2.0.

Because he thinks he has a better chance than a candidate who doesn't even want to talk about the cheating.

Trump has a better chance to win because he likes to talk about how the elections are rigged against him winning?

Trump has a better chance to win because he won the election (minus the fraud) twice.

Trump has a better chance to win because he doesn't believe that thinking about past stolen elections is just a "distraction".

It's hard for one stop the fraud, when one wants to ignore it, forget about it and believe it's just a "distraction".

And what’s Trump’s plan to defeat the fraud this time?

Ballot harvesting, early voting, some other things they are doing, unspecified, I give Trump a D.

For DeSantis, for both ignoring what happened and for not having a plan, I give him an F.

Ok so you say neither have a plan but since Trump constantly talks about how the election was stolen, a meaningless metric in terms of actually winning future elections, Trump is somehow better? Why is he running if he doesn’t have a plan to out-fraud the professionals? Seems like that should have been the first thing that he would have figured out if he were serious about winning.

Why is DeSantis running? He has no plan and there is no hope of him developing a plan since he wants us to ignore what happened in 2020.

His plan is the Florida model which got him reelected by 20%. He’s already said he plans to go into states with lax voting laws and use them to his advantage as much as possible. It’d be helpful if Trump endorsed Romney-McDaniel weren’t still heading the RNC since she’s been completely useless in doing anything about it.

The problem is in AZ, MI, PA, WI, MI, and NV. That's where the cheating that matters will be in the 2024 race.

What's Ron's plan for that?

To do the opposite of what Trump recommended last time like discouraging early and mail-in voting which got him a one-way ticket to Mar-A-Lago.
