Same with paper saver automatic paper towel dispensers that need electricity to run and give you a 3” piece of paper towel.

Bring back the old ones that provide sheets big enouigh to actually dry your hands and all you have to do is pull them out by hand.

And I won’t even consider using electric, blow dry hand dryers that are also known as *bacteria bombs*.

A heat pump water heater is very efficient and very expensive. However one must consider this. If it is installed inside your house it heating the water and blowing cold air out. It is simply a heat transfer device. The cold air blowing out from it is great in the summer. In the winter this cold air must be warmed by your heating system in the house. For this system to be truly efficient it must be vented into the house in the summer and vented outside in the winter. This is not cheap.

They run too cheaply? They cannot control people if they cannot bankrupt them...sadly.

Consumers will have to shovel out thousands of dollars more to install a heat pump water heater

Everyone will do monthly payments. 48 months so you can get a new water heater. Oh. And shut up about it.

How about government efficiency, like less waste of our hard earned tax dollars?

A lot of people are going to be taking cold showers if this stands, Heat pumps don’t work very well north of the Mason-Dickson line.

Well since you are so wealthy and think it is such good GD idea you should pay me to replace my brand new H2O heater.

Wealthy!?????

If you poke around you can find used collectors cheap as folks have them removed for various reasons.

I got my 2 Grumman 4X8 foot collectors and pumps for $150 many years ago.

The "professional" installer had never gotten them to work.

I spent another $50 or so on a differential temperature controller and had them working in 2 days.

I got a couple of water heaters for storage at the dump for free.

Some plumbers replace the whole tank when the elements burn out although the tank is fine.

You have to know where to shop.

While not wealthy, I have had thousands of dollars in my pocket not spent for electricity and oil over the last 40 years.

Both os which require electricity to run.

And let me know how that works out in the middle of a nor’easter in January.

I have battery backup that will run the pumps for weeks.

Circulator pumps draw very little current and run intermittently with a differential temperature controller.

Will you pay for ours?

Are you a democrat troll expecting others to pay for your stuff?

See my other post regarding how I do it on the cheap.

No need to spend a pile of money if you can do your own installation and maintenance.

If not, we’ll continue to use propane.

Should always keep your old source as backup for extended cloudy periods.

I use oil for that.

It doesn't matter what, just something that burns or electricity.

Yep, I am absolutely through with the GOP, they are about as useful as hemorrhoids. The DemoMarxists plow full steam ahead with indicting Trump 20 billion times, indicting anybody and everybody a billion times, and all we get from the GOP are hearings and talk for the past SEVEN YEARS!! Who the hell have they indicted?? Nobody! How many more billion tons of evidence do they require of the Biden crime family? And all we get is talk

You’re so adorable.

The only thing that was passed was the Bush 1.0 clean Air Act 30+ years ago. and the bureaucracy has been using that ever since.

Note that Repubs have been in the majority 22 of the last 30 years - they did nothing except special interest giveaways to their donors.

Everything they do leads to more electric usage and we barely have enough as it stands and they're not building more power plants. I guess some people are just expected to do without.

As the well traveled mother of an ex-employer of mine once said: We travel a lot and noticed the workers in these other countries don't have cars or nice houses and they seem perfectly happy. Why can't our workers be like that?

Emphasis on "our" hers as if implying ownership to a degree.
