My brain is in a fog for quite a while after I wake up, even after there’s caffeine in my system. I don’t really wake up until it gets dark. LOL

I’m noticing the blue sky out my window looking towards the mountains isn’t blue anymore.

The sliding glass door out onto the deck will be closed shortly and the box fan will be turned on.

It’s 75 in the house.

The smoke’s not too bad. Enough to make the sky a bit milky, especially now that the sun’s about to set. I can still make out a few clouds over the mountains so you’re in good shape at this point. What it’ll be like tomorrow remains to be seen. I still don’t think it’s going to be too bad. Nothing like it was here a week ago. You’re just getting clipped by the western edge.

The western sky is a pretty rose color as the sun sets, with deeper rose and purple clouds along the horizon. Smoke and dust make for some pretty sunsets.

This is what I have done so that I have weather on my desktop. When this page opens I simply make the page smaller or minimize it in the taskbar. It is the best I could do with the limitations of the weather apps, until such time as I can write a small app which will put only the weather on the desktop. If you do not like it then sue me. but it is impossible to get blood out of a turnip:
