Temecula is a red community. I wish the school board could have mustered the courage to fight back against Newsom.

I’d wager a crowd sourced funding campaign would have raised ten times the threatened fine.

Newsom’s kids do not nor never have gone to a public school. They attend Sacramento Country Day School. Did not shut down during the COVID bull manure and costs $31,000 per year to attend. Harvey Milk was a pedophile and Jim Jones advocate.

The fine was 1.7 million dollars, where were they gonna get that money?

Also they still have cards to play. After all, nobody told the district HOW to teach the materials ;)

“He started a romantic relationship with Jack Galen McKinley and recruited him to work on conservative Republican Barry Goldwater’s 1964 presidential campaign. Their relationship was troubled. When McKinley first began his relationship with Milk in late 1964, McKinley was 16 years old [and Milk was 34 years old]. He was prone to depression and sometimes threatened to commit suicide if Milk did not show him enough attention.”

“He distributed his campaign literature anywhere he could, including one of the most influential political groups in the city, the Peoples Temple. Milk accepted Temple volunteers to work his phones. On February 19, 1978, Milk wrote a letter to President Jimmy Carter defending cult leader Jim Jones as “a man of the highest character” when asked. Milk’s relationship with the Temple was similar to other politicians’ in Northern California. According to The San Francisco Examiner, Jones and his parishioners were a “potent political force”, helping to elect Moscone (who appointed him to the Housing Authority)”

True,

I never had an issue with curriculum requirements, I simply planned how I would satisfy them. My subjects were math but the same applies to every teacher. If they have a bias, it probably enters the classroom in this way. If I was told to include the political story in some way, I would approach it from an unbiased direction and make sure that the class heard both sides of an issue with two sides. Always did this with every issue, and this did incluce some cotentious issues if they were important to the class.

Also, if it was not related to the math being taught, it got very little time, enough to comply with the requirements. But no more.

Temecula did go farther than other red districts in California. Most school districts and municipalities will reluctantly go along with Sacramento’s mandates, afraid the state is going to do something bad to them.

Still, I have yet to find any provision that allows Newsom to levy a fine without due process. The Donahoe Education Master Plan gives the state school board and Superintendent of Public Instruction a degree of separation from the governor and legislature.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

? The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Aren’t schools supported by property taxes paid to a county, in general?

Newsom was going to deliberately ship the offending books to Temecula, and charge $1.6 Million to ship $1.5 million of book.

THIS IS THE REAL NEWSOM-—

USA DOES NOT NEED HIM FOR A PRESIDENT
