House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said he suspects foul play goes back decades among President Joe Biden's family.
Comer appeared on Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-TX) podcast Verdict in a two-part episode, the second half of which aired Friday. The Kentucky representative took questions surrounding his investigation into the Biden family's business deals abroad, including in China, Russia, and Ukraine.
"I'm not shocked about anything," Comer said of the investigation's revelations so far. "I think Joe Biden has been selling access to our enemies for decades."
Comer went on to claim the president has "always been cash-strapped" and also "never had a successful career in investing." He gave those narratives as reasons for the alleged misdoings.
"Then you look at the assets he's accumulated on a senate salary - it's pretty, pretty impressive," Comer said.
"So you're saying a classic Corvette doesn't buy itself?" Cruz joked about the president's car.
This podcast episode comes two days after IRS agents Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler appeared for a hearing before the House Oversight and Reform Committee. The two testified that Biden’s grandchildren were among the recipients of unexplained payments uncovered by investigators and could not provide reasons behind the payments.

Comer and the republican congress are holding so many hearings, that I’ve become tone-deaf.
Tone-deaf because, the hearings are just meant to calm down republicans who wanted to hold Biden and son (and others) accountable. It’s a congress that is pretending to be doing something, while accomplishing nothing.
Let’s face it. Joe and Hunter will not be held accountable. And with nothing accomplished in that scenario, we can look forward to democrats taking over both houses of congress in 2024.
We get angry when democrats have control of the hearings, but we should get angrier when republicans hold hearings and get nothing accomplished; they have nothing to show but a lot of post-hearings hot-air on FOX.
Watch them make a website or something. Maybe with a spreadsheet too.

Impeachment is too good for Biden. He should be arrested and held without bond for the capital offense of treason. He should be spared the death penalty if and only if he completely divulges all the information he sold and accomadations he made with foreign entities. His actions have done great harm to the American nation and unless fully divulged, the security of the American people remains at risk.

I lived in Delaware when Biden appeared on the political scene. He was a newly minted lawyer with his own practice fresh out of law school. He had 3 kids then as I did but he also had a house and enough cash to run for office twice before he was 30.
I was a plant manager making good money back then and I couldn’t match the life style Biden was living then.
Someone was bankrolling the Bidens back then too. You didn’t go to private school, college, law school, have 3 kids and a house as he had. His father was a used car salesman so he didn’t have the money.
