Democrats have insisted since it happened on calling the riot in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021, an "insurrection."
Setting aside the facts, which include that it was a riot by a few hundred people who vandalized parts of the building, and that President Trump had told his fans to protest "peacefully," there are other considerations.
An "insurrection" would require some sort of plan to actually take over the government, to implement new rules, orders, policies and such. And what about commanding the military? There have not even been suggestions there's evidence for this.
Nevertheless, Democrats insist it was an "insurrection" and now it's being explained why.
By convincing Americans, and especially judges, it was an "insurrection," Democrats want to use any conviction of President Trump to label him an "insurrectionist" and, under the 14th Amendment, keep him off the 2024 ballot. Or prevent him from taking office if elected.
That amendment was adopted after the Civil War and bars those who participated in an "insurrection" from holding federal office.
By manipulating the facts about Jan. 6, and redefining various words, leftists hope that they will be able to accomplish their goal.

Those that care about this country know that NOTHING is off the table to keep Trump off the ballot. NOTHING LINDA. NUTH-ING! Even the 'final solution'* if all else fails would not surprise me.

Yet l constantly see claims that Trump is who the rats want to run against. I don’t believe that. Those rallies scare the hell out of them.
Before the Democrats take Trump off the ballot one way or the other, they will demand the Republicans do it for them.
In Nixon’s case he departed when the Republicans went to him and told him the game was up, the votes were there to impeach him, so Nixon resigned.
In Trump’s case, the media and Democrats will demand the Republicans remove him from the primary process, basically the argument will be, you can’t allow a charged and possibly convicted felon to run for POTUS from one of the two major parties and certainly you can’t nominate someone like that.
There will be a significant percentage of Republicans that will go along with this demand, they don’t like Trump anyway so it’s not a stretch at the first opportunity they will attempt to remove him.
Make no mistake:
Definitions of words and courts and laws and scheming Democrats are NOT what you’re fighting.
What you’re truly fighting is “Dark Powers & Principalities.”
...a far more subtle and powerful enemy.
It’s the battle immemorial: Good and Evil.
It might not be possible to “win” close to you in time and space. The over-all war IS known to be WON — but that is a longer-term climax, we each might not be around to see
The important thing is to CHOOSE, and to back your choice, no matter what may come.
Dems goal is to get him nominated, then have him arrested to depress total GOP turnout to win down ballot races. The dems secondary goal is to win back the House and expand their Senate majority. Then they will pack the SCOTUS.

And ‘ronna’ and the gopE are in a position to ensure he isn’t placed on the ballot. At least as a republicrat.
If Trump were to run as a 3rd party candidate, it would be a sure-fire way for Biden or some other Democrat to get elected.
First, quite a few Blue States would not allow him on the ballot using the logic a charged or convicted felon doesn’t qualify.
Secondly, in red states where he would be on the ballot, he could win most of them or win a significant percentage of voters in Red States.
Third, if the Republican nominee is not Trump, whoever the nominee is will get a significant percentage of the votes in Red States, basically Trump and the Republican nominee would split the vote and the Democrat would walk into the Whitehouse because the Democrat would win all the Blue States a couple of swing states and win the Presidency.
And they will gladly fo it and then put in the Deep States boy, Glen Youngkin who was handpicked to run for VA Gov (the State GOpP) changed the rules to keep a MAGA gal from running, and have him tout a few MAGA positions, like they did with DeSantis, then package him as Trump without the problems. Viola, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, Mitch and the rest of the anti-Trump establishment will have righted their ship. Back to business as usual.
Include some Republicans in quest to take out Trump. An example is Christie where he heavily promoted Chris Wray to Trump for the FBI Directors position. Christie wanted Wray because Christie is part of the plan to Socialize America. We have Wray and Christie is currently making his move to defeat Trump any way he can. Garland is an added prize for Christie.
Seeing and receiving plenty of ads to NOT support Trump from AFPPAC. Keeping folks divided......

I never said he couldn’t, but that reason will be used remove him from enough state ballots to make winning the required number of electoral votes impossible.
The reason I suggest is if Republicans actually remove Trump from the primary process, they will share in the dirty work the Democrats are currently doing,

States decide who gets ballot access. Look for efforts in states to alter ballot access to candidates.
History of the fourteenth doesn’t support it being used against a then sitting president. It’s not in the text and doesn’t seem to have ever meant to apply to a chief executive. It’s a constitutional question that seems to lean in Trump’s favor. Also J6 was not an insurrection. It was a riot which I think is what Pence called it in Iowa.
