I don’t lose any sleep about Biden’s health, but as a practical matter, this accomodation should have been done a week after he was ‘appointed’ and inaugerated. Thw whole whole knows Biden is a wobbler who often forgets why he is moving.

As someone who has worked for the elderly from time to time, I also found it impractical and odd that before many his speeches, Biden’s team makes him walk across fields of grass on sloping hillsides before he finally reaches the podium. Why?
Maybe there is supposed to be some big drama about our presidents walking toward his podium to address the nation.
His team thinks more walking, needless or not, equals a greater build up. Think again.

using a shorter staircase to get on the aircraft.

Just put him on The Short Bus and drive him into the rear ramp of a C-141 taxi it over a few speed bumps to simulate Takeoff/Landing and once around the Hanger then back out of the plane. He's not going to notice any difference if they do that.

The plane has at least 2 doors. I assume the higher one that Biden was using goes directly to his area. If he does in through a lower door via the shorter staircase, we won’t see if he has trouble inside the plane getting up to his area.
