I recently went to see the movie Sound Of Freedom with the expectation of a moderate level of political commentary or religious pontificating, given the rabid and widespread attacks on the film by the leftist media. All I knew going in was that the indie production was about child trafficking and that the mainstream media HATES IT. After the film was over, my first thought was that it was an excellent story about a very dark and difficult issue. My second thought was – “What the hell was all the fuss about? There’s not a single political moment in the entire movie!”
The media war on the low budget flick is so bizarre given this fact that I am immediately suspicious of their intentions. Not one political message, not one momentary critique of the political left, not one moment where MAGA or Trump or “Q-Anon” is mentioned, not one “conspiracy theory.” So why all the hate?
Before reading this review any further I highly recommend you check out some of the hatchet job articles published about Sound Of Freedom to get a sense of what I’m talking about – examples are here, here, here and here.
The first thing you’ll probably notice is that the majority of these vitriolic diatribes use the exact same talking points – They suggest that The Sound Of Freedom is based in conspiracy theory, far-right extremism and that it is funded by a subversive network of “Q-Anon adjacent” conservatives. Some journalists have even attacked the veracity of the film’s true story – the career of DHS agent Tim Ballard, who operated covertly to take down child sex traffickers in Central America.

In the past, investigative reporters have done multi-part stories on horrors of child trafficking and the powerful people and large sums of money behind the heinous crime. Why does the media now want to pretend it does not happen?
The media is trying to tell us it’s a made up problem.
In the last couple of years two CNN producers were removed for child sexual abuse issues. One was just sent to prison. An ABC news personality was arrested for child s cual abuse, and there is an unknown Brit news personality under investigation.
This is just on the news business.
Made up problem? I don’t think so.
These are very sick people in power and it also extends to alleged perverts such as Bill Barr and Jeff Sessions as UniParty GOP. Joe Biden’s own daughter said in her diary that she would wait until the middle of the night to shower becaose her dad was so inappropriate with her.

Movie has made over $80 million in profit. People like great movies with a good message.
Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the Obama administration in Dec. of 2014 or 2015 advertise for and hire contractors to transport 60,000 unaccompanied minors from Central and South America to the United States and dispersed them all across the country?

Had no idea Glenn Beck was involved in funding the real life rescue. Think we can all understand why the movie replaced him with a fictional billionaire. Showing somebody the Left has an irrational hate for doing something good is setting yourself up for their unhinged anger. Of course on the evidence some on the Left are angry anyway.
I agree. It would be nice to know why they advocate for the human trafficking of children.
One of my favorite parts of the movie was Jim Caviezel’s “message” after the End Titles. A pretty powerful message.
Most likely many will still end their own lives early.
Many will end up being drug/alcohol addicts to dull the pain of their childhood.
It’s election season. They want to de-platform the Right as much as possible.
